COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

JTheed:

Look in the file /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_checkout_payment_default.php. Look for this line of code.

if ($COWOA && ($_SESSION['cart']->show_total() == 0)) {
zen_redirect(zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_CONFIRMATION, '', 'SSL'));
}

> If that line is there, remove it, save the file, upload it to your site and then test it again.
>
> JT

Haven't been able to come back to this until now. Checked that tpl_checkout_payment_default.php file and I can not find that piece of code in there.

I am using a template that I installed prior to the COWOA that is called LiteRed. I checked that file above in this LiteRed template file as well and it's not there.

The road I've taken is - Installed ZenCart, installed LiteRed Template, installed COWOA. So haven't done much to the site as far as mods at all.

I am going to attached the tpl_checkout_payment_default.php file from the LiteRed template folder. Maybe that will help?

Appreciate any help again! Thank you.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

The problem with the checkout page going blank could be from altering one of the language files for checkout in: includes/languages/english/ look at checkout_shipping.php and checkout_payment.php
and make sure there are NO empty lines after the code and then re-upload the files. This can make those pages blank in checkout on websites without COWA too =)

Hope it fixes it!

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

I'm trying to get this mod installed but I get the following on the SQL patch:

1364 Field 'query_keys_list' doesn't have a default value
in:
[INSERT INTO query_builder ( query_id , query_category , query_name , query_description , query_string ) VALUES ( '', 'email,newsletters', 'Permanent Account Holders Only', 'Send email only to permanent account holders ', 'select customers_email_address, customers_firstname, customers_lastname from TABLE_CUSTOMERS where COWOA_account != 1 order by customers_lastname, customers_firstname, customers_email_address');]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Any ideas?
Thanks

None, but the SQL error you are getting is not related to Super Orders..

I am using 1.3.9h with this mod and having the same problem (information page returns back to an empty form instead of moving along to the next section). I first tried it with version 20c (with and without that line) and then tried it by replacing the files from version 20c2 (which was a bit harder to find). It does remove the aforementioned line, but the error persists. Any suggestions in tracking this down?

Order e-mails are not showing up properly after installing this mod. You can see what is happening in the attached screenshot.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

i did scan this thread and the forums but didnt find anything so i'm not sure if anyone has already done this or even needs it not but i needed to combine cowoa with confirm email address entry add on (used on 1.3.8 then upraded to 1.3.9h and working), i thought i would post it here as a working solution, this will only be applicable if you have the confirm email address mod installed (http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=204)

as always replace CUSTOM with your own template name:

in includes/templates/CUSTOM/templates/tpl_modules_no_account.php find:

<label class="inputLabel" for="email-address"><?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS; ?></label>
<?php echo zen_draw_input_field('email_address', '', zen_set_field_length(TABLE_CUSTOMERS, 'customers_email_address', '40') . ' id="email-address"') . (zen_not_null(ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_TEXT) ? '<span class="alert">' . ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_TEXT . '' . EMAIL_TEXT_COWOA . '</span>':''); ?><br class="clearBoth" />

and below it (just before the </fieldset>) add:

<label class="inputLabel" for="email-address-confirm"><?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_CONFIRM; ?></label>
<?php echo zen_draw_input_field('email_address_confirm', '', zen_set_field_length(TABLE_CUSTOMERS, 'customers_email_address', '32') . ' id="email-address-confirm"') . (zen_not_null(ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_CONFIRM) ? '<span class="alert">' . ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_TEXT . '</span>': ''); ?>
<br class="clearBoth" />

then in incudes/modules/pages/no_account/jscript_form_check.php find:

<?php if ((int)ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_MIN_LENGTH > 0) { ?>
  check_input("email_address", <?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_MIN_LENGTH; ?>, "<?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_ERROR; ?>");
<?php } ?>

and change to:

<?php if ((int)ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_MIN_LENGTH > 0) { ?>
check_email_address("email_address", "email_address_confirm", <?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_MIN_LENGTH; ?>, "<?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_ERROR; ?>", "<?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS_CONFIRM_NOT_MATCHING; ?>");
<?php } ?>

then lastly go into includes/modules/page/create_account and copy the jscript_email_confirm.php and paste it into your includes/modules/pages/no_account folder and upload.

all should be working, can anyone confirm this?

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Hi People,

Let me say that I have found these forums exceedingly helpful, I have got a long way solving each of my myriad of issues by reading here. There is a "but" though, and I don't mean the one I sit on.

I have read through sooooo much my brain is now fried and I cannot find the posts which dealt with my current problem.

I am using 1.3.9h and have added Super Orders, COWOA, Admin Master Password, PDF Order Centre and a PayPal WPP(UK) account using PayFlow. The site is mainly edited from the basic template (no 3rd part template).

My issue is that address details are not passed to PayPal. I read somewhere that the issue was dealt with and accessible through the Admin interface (or am I confused?). The only thing I can see there is in the PayPal Express Checkout (Pro 2.0 Payflow Edition) (UK) module which says :

Express Checkout: Require Confirmed Address
Do you want to require that your (not-logged-in) customers use a confirmed address when choosing their shipping address in PayPal?

Which sounds like NO orders will be accepted unless they come from an address which has been confirmed within the PayPal website.

Any ides/help/suggestions would be great.

Thanks for reading

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Hi People,

Dim Tim:

My issue is that address details are not passed to PayPal.

Hi People,

Perhaps I'm asking things all wrong or in the wrong place. Please advise me if that is the case.

I ask here because I am using COWOA and think that this is the most likely suspect.

Can anyone tell me which file or files would be worth looking at in order to try to resolve this?

Thanks for reading.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Once a customer creates an account, COWOA does not allow the user to checkout for a future purchase without an account. The customer receives the following error:

Our system already has a record of that email address - please try logging in with that email address. If you do not use that address any longer you can correct it in the My Account area.

Is there any way to override this setting and allow a customer with an existing account to use the same email address but checkout as a guest (without logging in)?

Hi Adlibit

For some reason this thread doesn't have any replies for some time, I have no idea why but it is a little unsettling.

Anyway, As a noob myself, I can't really help you too much but I am sure I have read of your problem before. I did try to find it but I failed too. I can only suggest that until and if you get an answer you keep digging in these forums. I just know that I have read that before.

Sorry Buddy.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Not sure if anyone has done this yet or wants to but I thought i'd let you know what i've done and how I did it.

I found that regardless of what setting in the admin you have Express Checkout set to either automatically create account yes or no, it always creates an account with a password associated with it, which in my eyes is a big pain.

So here is what I have done which seems to work great.

I set the Express checkout to "Not Auto create account" (what this does is it stops zen-cart from emailing the customer a password etc) and also flages the account to be deleted the next time someone does an express checkout with that email.

I went into tpl_login_default.php, I moved the express checkout button to the COWOA box area on the login page.

Then I changed the code in the following file:
includes/modules/payment/paypalwpp.php

from:

          // Make it a temporary account that'll be deleted once they've checked out
          $sql = "UPDATE " . TABLE_CUSTOMERS . "
                  SET customers_paypal_ec = 1
                  WHERE customers_id = :custID ";
          $sql = $db->bindVars($sql, ':custID', $customer_id, 'integer');
          $db->Execute($sql);

to:

          // Make it a temporary account that'll be deleted once they've checked out
          // Added Checkout without account here
          $sql = "UPDATE " . TABLE_CUSTOMERS . "
                  SET customers_paypal_ec = 1, COWOA_account = 1
                  WHERE customers_id = :custID ";
          $sql = $db->bindVars($sql, ':custID', $customer_id, 'integer');
          $db->Execute($sql);

Seems to work a treat!

On a side note, after seeing the logic behind the customers_paypal_ec it makes sense to delete temporary accounts before creating new ones. Perhaps COWOA should be doing something similar?

Let me know your thoughts.

Why would a customer with an existing account want to checkout as a guest? Doesn't make a lot of sense. COWOA the updated and combined version allows a customer that has checked out via COWOA to later come back and create an account to check out, BUT after they create an account, they cannot go back and checkout via COWOA again, unless as far as the e-mail address that they used to register an account is concerned. They can use COWOA again if they use a different e-mail address.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Order status page doesn't show the break down of order total such as the tax, sub-total, shipping fees etc...

It only shows per item total.

Totals are displayed correctly on all website pages. I did a comparison to the tpl_account_history_info_default and order_status_default and everything match (except the _GET and _POST of course).

Any thoughts.

Site been live for years, I just want to get the separate order status page working that's all.
