COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

there are no install instructions? plus, my admin file is not called admin...so what do to?

nevermind, they are on the BOTTOM of one of the text files. Since all of the fixes are listed first, I did not scroll to the bottom. Sorry for the trouble.:lamo:

I notice that when COWOA is use. A blank link show above the header in admin/customers. When you click on the link you can view the COWOA customer. If you have 5 COWOA customers. Then you will have 5 blank links. See attachment.

Does anyone have this problem?

It will not cause a problem. Someone just didn't want the MY Account to show up on the page. If you do not want it to show up, try using the Admin/Tools/Developers Tool Kit, and look for
HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT

Your MY Account title may be in a different file.

I have another small problem. I have completed all the steps in the MOD - except I don't understand Step #4 AT ALL! What exactly am I supposed to do?

As it stands now when I go to check out I have (3) boxes....the first one says "Create an Account" and it takes them to the page to create an account. The 2nd one says "enter your email if you already have an account". The 3rd one says "Check out without account" but when you enter YES it takes them to the Create Account page.....what the heck did I do wrong? Thanks!

Nevermind...I'm brain dead - it was just asking for shipping information...not new account information.

Look in: includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_login_default.php

Move the code to your desire destination. Remember to always backup first before doing anything.

Now I want to move the "returning customers" box but I keep getting in wrong....how do I know exactly what code to grab?

Also, my "continue" button for new account creation says 'BUTTON_CONTINUE' instead of just 'continue'....how do I fix that?

Hello All!

I just installed the COWOA mod on my1.3.9d version.

After selecting "checkout without an account" the customer is led to a page that contains the appropriate side boxes with a "Page not found" error message in the center box.

Have no idea how to resolve. Would appreciate any assistance. :lamo:

The reason you can't find the code to change is because the drop down menu code replaces the code that you're supposed to change (as I explained in my PM to you, just wanted to post it here in case someone else runs into the same issue and it hasn't been addressed before).

So if you have the css drop down menu installed, you can skip this step.

I had this problem crop up in the past couple of days on a site I've been developing. We're due to launch on Monday and I'm at my wits' end. My client expects a large proportion of her customers to want the COWOA functionality.

Here's what's happening: order confirmation emails get sent fine to test customers with an account but they're not going out to test customers who check out without an account. I believe this cropped up after I installed the Newsletter-Only Subscription mod, so I removed that mod within the admin and reverted all affected files to their pre-Newsletter-mod state. Didn't fix the email problem. I've searched through the Newsletter-Only forum but couldn't find any clues, except for one mention that that mod and this one don't always play nice, but it didn't seem to have anything to do with order confirmation emails.

'Enable Order Status' is set to true in the COWOA config. I have email archiving turned on and the emails are showing up in the table in phpMyAdmin but they're not reaching their destination (various email addresses that I own, and the emails are not in the spam folders).

I checked the FAQ under problems sending/receiving email. I haven't changed anything in the store's email config recently, and order confirmation emails are going out fine to test customers with accounts so I'm guessing it's not a problem in the email config.

On a side note, the Contact Us form isn't working now either--no email arrives to the selected address. Used to work fine. I can send email using admin > tools > send email.

I haven't updated ZC recently or done anything other than install (and then uninstall) Newsletter-Only Subscription. Oh, I renamed the admin folder, but that hasn't caused any problems elsewhere.

I get the feeling that the solution to this is either really basic or quite subtle--in either case, I think I need a fresh pair of eyes to help suss it out!

Update about the email archive in phpMyAdmin: Turns out the missing emails that were supposed to be sent to COWOA customers are NOT showing up in the table. They used to, before the Newsletter-Only Subscription mod install/uninstall. So the emails are never even getting created, I guess.

EDIT AGAIN: [Sheesh. Can you tell I'm usually just a lurker on forums? I can't seem to edit my posts!]

Update on the update: The missing emails ARE in the email archive, so Zen Cart thinks they're being sent.

FOlks - Apologies if I have missed this however I am looking to combine COWOA and captialize_signup_fields_v1.0b, the upper case script used in no_account.php, the capital leading letter / upper case postcode script.

I've pasted the following into the exact same area of tpl_modules_no_account.php however if does nothing....

Any help appreciated.
