COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

beasleybub:

I figured something out that might help someone fix this bug.

It looks as though you have it working with the changes you made. I was not able to get a crashed page after creating an account and starting checkout of the downloadable item, so if all is well, then happy Sunday!

Working but not repaired. :(

From the link I sent you? Surely this is a bug in the COWOA script.
I tried this out on two completely different cart installations one of them was a clean install with no modifications and produced the exact same symptoms.

The funny thing is that it's probably something silly like an extra close quote.
Anyone else want to fix it? Anyone? :wink:

I believe it's in includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATES/templates/tpl_checkout_payment.php. Look for a line near the beginning that checks to see if the cart total is 0 and if so, redirect to the confirmation page. Remove that line.

I think you meant tpl_checkout_payment_default.php :D

Ok, that fixed it but now I still see

We accept: "card images"

Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.
Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

Shouldn't this not show up?

Thanks!

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

I noticed that when a product is free and a customer decides to log in to the cart instead of using cowoa the credit card payment method still shows on the step 2 of 3 page. And says

Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time. Please contact us for alternate arrangements. I've fixed that and provided the files attached.

I just created an if else statement using part of the removed

 if ($_SESSION['cart']->show_total() == 0) {
     zen_redirect(zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_CONFIRMATION, '', 'SSL'));
 }

that either shows the payment method if the cart has a balance or doesn't if the balance is zero.

This applies to my cart and my authorize.net payment method but might not apply for other payment methods. However, if this is the case it can easily be modified to other payment methods.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the fix... Downloaded the zip file and it is empty!

Do you have the Zen Cart Free Charge Card enabled?

How in the world did that happen! :oops:
I'll reattach it.

No, I only have authorize.net enabled. Thanks

Everything installed and works just fine. The only thing I noticed after installing is in the Returning Customer box the box you put your password in is not lined up right. Does anyone know how I maybe able to fix it? I'm using the v1.3.9h. Thanks!

Hi,

For some reason some browsers use a different font between a standard text input and a password field.

Try adding this to your stylesheet and see if it helps.

input { font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; }

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Also in your tpl_login_default look for this around line 43 or so.

<?php echo zen_draw_form('login', zen_href_link(FILENAME_LOGIN, 'action=process', 'SSL'), 'post', 'id="loginForm"'); ?>
<label class="inputLabel" for="login-email-address"><?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_ADDRESS; ?></label>
<?php echo zen_draw_input_field('email_address', '', 'size="18" id="login-email-address"'); ?>
<br class="clearBoth" />

<label class="inputLabel" for="login-password"><?php echo ENTRY_PASSWORD; ?></label>
<?php echo zen_draw_password_field('password', '', 'size="18" id="login-password"'); ?>
<?php echo zen_draw_hidden_field('securityToken', $_SESSION['securityToken']); ?>
<br class="clearBoth" />

You can change the width of those fields there.

I turn the right column off in that screen to give it room.

Nancy, if you are noticing the very slight offsetting between e-mail input text box and password input text box, then have a look at this thread here. I wondered about this and so finally figured out that stock zen code for that form/fieldset box had the 'form' element inside the 'fieldset' element. If the fieldset element is put inside the form element, then the left-alignment is fine.

You have to be careful trying to do this.

Do I just put this anywhere in the file?

That other thread doesn't describe my problem exactly. My password box is to the right of the email address box. It's like this:

Email Address:
Box----------------------------
Password: Box----------------

There's a big gap between password and the actual box.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Hi,

I'm having a weird problem. The COWOA module seemed to work fine for a while, but not it's not working anymore.

  1. First of all, it won't let me past the billing page. After the billing page, only a blank page (no, really nothing) shows up.

  2. When I try to go back by pressing "checkout," again a blank page shows up.

This way, the customer's won't even be able to try to register and buy a product.

What could be wrong?

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

I'm using Zen Cart v1.39h and did a clean install of COWOA, which worked perfectly with FF and Safari, however there was an issue with IE8 and instructions in step 1A that corrupted the site display.

****** STEP 1A has been Added
STEP 1a - In your custom template on your cart, edit the tpl_header.php file and look for this line.

<?php if (($_SESSION['customer_id']) { ?>

change it to this.

<?php if (($_SESSION['customer_id']) && (!$_SESSION['COWOA']=='True')) { ?>

This prevents the My Account from showing up after the COWOA Users enters their Order Number and E-Mail Address to view their order.

Deleting the statement puts things back to normal. Hmmmm...
Anyone else encounter such a problem?

I am having the same issue. I've posted on another area discussing COWOA, but not answers yet. And I can't find any solutions browsing the forums. Here is what I posted there.

I've gone through the forum post on COWOA and haven't been able to solve my problem.

Every time I enter the information in on the billing page and click continue, it takes me right back to the billing page with all the fields blank.

I found the post about reinstalling everything. So I re-downloaded the COWOA files and then reinstalled everything. Removed the SQL items and then reinstalled the SQL items.

Still same problem.

I've installed this wonderful add-on on another site with no problems. Not sure what I did different here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look in the file /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_checkout_payment_default.php. Look for this line of code.

 if ($COWOA && ($_SESSION['cart']->show_total() == 0)) {
     zen_redirect(zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_CONFIRMATION, '', 'SSL'));
 }

If that line is there, remove it, save the file, upload it to your site and then test it again.
