Image Handler 4 (for v1.5.x) Support Thread

k1ra:

Thanks. I'll remember that! It's much easier..

Yes the additional images are being forced to a smaller size in the css so they fit in the product_info page. Are you saying that is what is causing the popup to not pull the lrg images?

I re-installed IH4 twice this morning just in case I missed something, disabled the code for my image swap [which was custom], then deleted and re-uploaded the images for this product an hour ago:

http://rosecityvintage[dot]com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=749

The src seems to show the images coming from IH4 cache, but the source for the popup seems to be for the same image instead of for the _Lrg image, or the image.600x800 as IH names it.

The images at the link provided are they only product who's images I have put through IH4. All other product images were created manually with the zen naming convention and the various sizes. These will be replaced eventually.

Thank you for responding. I have been stumped on this.

The image behavior of your site is indicative of one or more things as the cause:
IH4 is not installed correctly
You have other modifications that are interfering or are overwriting the IH4 files

I don't know which one is at play.

This is what I thought, but I've uninstalled and re-installed IH4 multiple times, manually comparing and merging the files. The last time I just straight up replaced the files with the IH4 versions..I also compared my fileset to the default Zen fileset to see if I was missing something. I commented out the css forcing the additional images to be the size I need, though I don't see what that has to do with the wrong image being called in the first place. None of this seemed to make a difference.

The only mods I have installed are
IH4
Easy Populate 4
Stock By Attributes
Flexible Product Listing
Tabless Order Steps
Cross Sell

My host is on PHP 5.4

I supposed I'm left with trying the default template to see if that makes a difference, or trying with IH4 uninstalled.

Re: Image Handler 4 (for v1.5.x) Support Thread

Hello

I have a bizarre wee quirk going on.

Using zencart 1.51, fresh install and then an import in of a 1.39h store data (following zencart step by step instructions - I have upgraded 50+ stores to date).

Using my own template.

plugins installed
image handler
ultimate seo urls
zx slideshow
pure css mega menu

Code is appearing for the additional images on the page, but the actual additional images are not appearing on the page.

<!--bof Additional Product Images --> <div id="productAdditionalImages">

I have checked permissions are correct
I have checked file & path locations are correct (i.e if I follow these they all display in my browser)
I have checked that I have display additional images set to true
Normal main images are displaying fine and being resized as they should.

Totally stuck as to why they are not displaying

Any pointers would be much appreciated, can send url via PM

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide, I am stuck!!

Re: Image Handler 4 (for v1.5.x) Support Thread

I am getting ready to install the patch that allows Zoom on Medium images. However, my client only wants Zoom on Medium, and not Zoom on Small. Is this possible?

Re: Image Handler 4 (for v1.5.x) Support Thread

Image Handler 4 on v1.5.0
On the main product page, the additional image is on the top, then on the next row, the main product image and descripition are followed.
It is supposed to be the other way around.
And it is happeneing with Chrome only.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

IH4 does not modify the appearance of the product info page.. This is template/layout issue not an IH4 issue..

I assume you are not responding because you think this is an "add on question." So let me frame this in a way that takes it out of that realm.

How can I deactivate "Zoom on" functionality for any given page?

Besides, the whole "Zoom on Medium" images discussion/issues is covered in the readme.. If you want to turn off IH4 's built in "zoom on small images" functionality you turn it off in the admin. Configuration > Images > IH small images zoom on hover

So then are you saying that when I do what the readme says to get zoom on medium that the zoom on medium functionality will still work when I turn off IH4 's built in "zoom on small images"?

don't know where you thought I MIGHT have said/implied this..

that code was pulled out of the IH fileset long ago.. WHY is detailed out in the readme.. you asked how to turn off the IH4 hover on small images.. I provided that info.. if you want to know if that medium image hover code works with or without the IH4 small image hover, the answer is I don't know..

Re: Image Handler 4 (for v1.5.x) Support Thread

Hi

I got the following message after installing CSS/JS Loader & FEC

Image Handler4
No Image Handler information found.

Is there a way to solve this issue without re-installing image handler?

Thanks
Hany

It's most likely some other mod you installed wiped out the hidden config setting that houses the IH4 version data.. I'm at work and don't now the SQL required to restore it.. the other option is a reload of the IH4 installers.. (in the admin files of the install package) This will re-run the IH4 install and fix this.

Everything is fixed, i suddenly remembered i installed bestsellers page :-) at least sort of. Thank you again for helping me out. I really love the image handler, the only thing i dont like about it is the names of the images :-D but i rather have those names then do without tis super module.

Yeah.. that module hasn't been updated in some time I would guess.. I would also guess that it must have the code in their install SQL that wipes out certain configuration table settings.. There are some default Zen Cart configuration table entries that are hidden (not accessible via the admin) and IH4 also uses a hidden configuration table entry to store the version number.

I've got the same problem and I thought the same thing, i solved the problem reinstalling (copying again the install files and re-run it) IH4. Unfortunately i don't know yet which add-on caused the problem, no error log was ever generate.

A question about uploading, it seem i've some sort of "limit" on the dimension of the files i can upload in IH4, (about 95Kb) if the file is bigger i got a server error message, even if i don't have any server limit set... no error log is generated, no other issue. Where should i look to figure out why is there this limit? (The uploadable size of file is muuuuuuch bigger than 95 kb )

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately i don't know yet which add-on caused the problem, no error log was ever generate.there wouldn't be an error log because "techinically" there wasn't an error.. there was however an install SQL script which includes code which will inadvertently remove rows from the configuration table.

Re: Image Handler 4 (for v1.5.x) Support Thread

I'm trying to set up Foundation's clearing lightbox on my product info pages. Unfortunately I can't figure out the src= URL for my large main product image. I was expecting to find it with the $products_image_large variable, but that spits out the source as http://mz.gundlach-marketing dot com/images/large/19-2420-b2_LRG.jpg I thought IH4 put files there? perhaps I'm wrong on that one, maybe the images are only stored in the bmz_cache? I'm fine with that too, I just need to figure out a variable name or a way of calling the path to the large image. Maybe I'll revisit the code for the additional images. It works fine for those.
