Preston Elite Template Support Thread

my site is http://www.thecubden.org/store/ I'm still learning to edit code, I want my Categories listing to look like what is in the demo, all left justified. I'm using chrome, and looked at the elements. If I change the text aliment in /bof wrappers - page or section containers/ it changes everything on the page. I just want to change the categories section

In the template demo, the categories are all left aligned. This problem is being caused by a text-align:center; that you added to the #mainWrapper in the stylesheet.css file.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Preston Elite Template Support Thread

Hi just installed zen cart current version 1.5, with preston elite template, no other plugs installed, only the template.

I am trying to remove shop by brand, I have edited includes/templates/preston_elite/css/stylesheet_mega_menu.css, and placed the following at the bottom of the file, .manufacturers.li{display:none;} but it still is showing shop by brand, I also tried .manufacturers{display:none;}, but it did not work. Can you give me any suggestions, my site is https://www.ibsfree.com.au.

Cheers Karen

Use .customer_service

I would recommend that you use the chrome or firefox web developer tools to help you find out the class names of elements that you want to hide.

Thanks,

Anne

Hi Anne

Thanks that work, problem was I was following your tutorial, so didn't think I would need to use chrome or firefox to fine the names as you had already listed them
Hide any of the Drop Downs

You can hide any of the drop down menus by going to includes/templates/preston_elite/css/stylesheet_mega_menu.css

Add a display:none; to the class for the drop down you want to hide. So, for example, if you wanted to hide contact us you would add this to the bottom of the file:

.contactus-li{display:none;}

The classes for the drop down menus are as follows:

.quicklinks-li
.categories-li
.manufacturers-li
.aboutus-li
.information-li
.contactus-li
.customerservice-li

The tutorial got me on the wrong track I guess. I will not use tutorial info again.

thanks

Karen

The answer is the same as your other thread.

Follow the instructions of the text you desire to delete, your question's answer will be obvious.

RixStix:

You can quickly get rid of this content via Admin->Tools->Define Pages Editor, and select define_main_page from the pulldown. I think I was panicking cos the minute I took the default HTML away and saved it the text disappeared on the home page.
