Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Okay so now that that's sorted, I can't seem to figure out how to keep my slider AND enable Categories - Always Show on Main Page 1 + Main Page - Opens with Category.

This is not a problem with the template package. I just installed the template on a vanilla cart and when Categories - Always Show on Main Page 1 and Main Page - Opens with Category are turned on the slide show still works.

Thanks,

Anne

Great! Thanks!

I guess I'll start with Categories - Always Show on Main Page 1. Let me know if/when you want me to switch that off?

Ok, I see what you mean now. You will have to move the code for slide show from the define_main_page.php and place it in a separate file like includes/templates/piccadilly_posh/common/tpl_home_slider.php and then place a call for the slide show in your tpl_main_page.php file:

<?php
    if ($this_is_home_page) {
?>
<?php require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_home_slider.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'common') . '/tpl_home_slider.php');?>
<?php
    } ?>

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Okay. That worked well. Just one thing...Now the columns are squeezed due to the banner. I'm guessing it's either where I placed the code in tpl_main and/or additional css is required to expand the columns?

You need to get rid of the #home-text

Thanks,

Anne

I am happy that you like it ;)

Yes, if anyone sends me the translated files I can offer them with the template package.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Hi Anne.

Once again I need your help. Is it feasible to strip mega_menu from this template?

I've added display:none; in the css to hide it but the problem is the code is still part of the site. In the spririt of keeping things tidy I'd like to clean that out. Also, I'm getting validation errors(5) so it would be best if I could remove it.

The pure css mega menu is a separate plugin so just download it and follow the instructions to un install.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Hi

Can anyone point me in the direction of the page/code that I need to amend to change the colour of the sideboxes? I have been searching for days in all the css files. I have searched the forum but all the relevant posts are between 2008 - 2011 and the code doesn't seem to appear in my css files. I currently have the pale pink background on the category and other boxes and this changes to lime green on hover. I am using the Piccadilly Posh template; you can see the problem here; t h e c a n d l e a n d c a r d c o . c o m
Thanks Kim

Look in stylesheet_betterCategoriesEzInfo1.css for background-color: #ffe5ef;

You couldn't find anything relevant here because your using add-ons.

I just took a look at your site but can not help you because there is a problem with the database.

If you want to make changes to the css I would recommend using firefox or chrome and installing the web developer tools. They will tell you the exact line of the file you need to edit to make your changes.

Thanks,

Anne

Hi Anne

Not sure what happened there but the database problem is sorted. I am not sure why or how the web developer tools on Chrome can tell me what file to use to change a colour, I use Dreamweaver to search for the hex code usually but I have changed all the hex codes in the whole site (Dreamweaver find and replace for colour hex #FFE5EF) and I still have pink categories/sideboxes :-( I have tried manually searching in case Color Cop is picking up the wrong shade but still no joy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best wishes Kim
