Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

annav:

Hello,

I'm trying to change the font across the whole site to Century Gothic. I made the change in the stylesheet (right at the top in the body section) and added: font-family: "Century Gothic", CenturyGothic, AppleGothic, sans-serif; - that didn't work so I just used century gothic only but that still didn't work.

Are you able to use a different font in the template and was I changing it at the correct spot?

Thanks.

Yes, you can change the font to anything that you like. Try:

font-family: Century Gothic, sans-serif;

Thanks,

Anne

Thanks Anne, but that didn't seem to work either.

If you have any other suggestions that would be great otherwise it's no big deal really.

Thanks
Anna

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Hi again,

I just have a couple of questions.

On the home page is it possible to center the "new, featured and specials" tab.

Also on the home page, is it possible to have the new products show automatically whenever you go into the home page instead of having to click on the tab.

Thanks
Anna

To center the tabs add this to the sylesheet_module_tabs.css file #moduleMenu

margin-left:120px;

See this link for your second question:

Thanks for that, much appreciated.

I also wanted to ask if this template has the option for adding a Testimonials page. I couldn't see one in the side boxes options, so I'm thinking I may have to download one. If so, what do you recommend.

Thanks

You can either add testimonials as an ezpage, or you can install the tesimonials manager plugin.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Hi Anne,

My sister wants to suppress the google and blog in the drop-down menu, but putting the following in the mega menu stylesheet isn't working:

.hgoogle {display:none;}
.hblog {display:none;}

www.findmypromdress com

She does not want to turn it completely off, as in post 57 on page 6.

I have your Newport template on one of my sites and the code worked there, turning google and blog off in the drop-down:

fashion-mart.biz

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Steve

You need to add the classes to the includes/templates/piccadilly_posh/common/tpls_mega_menu.css file.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Anne,

I am trying to disable all of the Connect with Us social media options except Facebook, but I cannot disable them. My website is https://www.fancyinfrills.com. I added {the display:none} lines to the bottom of the stylesheet_mega_menu.css file per the readme file, but they are still there. Any ideas?

Yes, please read through the support thread before posting duplicate questions.

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

I read the post but thought maybe I added the the .hyoutube{display:none;} line in the wrong file. I double checked and confirmed that it is on the bottom of the tpl_mega_menu file, but they are still showing up.

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Can you just change the width in stylesheet.css or do you have to make other adjustments as well? Thinking of going a little smaller.

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

I am having a bit of trouble getting my Specials to show up on my home page. I do have it enabled to display on the home page and I do get the Specials tab to show up but I am not getting my products to show up under it. My products do show up under the specials menu in the drop down but not sure why they won't show up on the home page. I just went through to make sure I had all the files uploaded and I do. Do you have any ideas? Site is in my signature. Thanks!

Nevermind on this one. I had my "Number of special products to list on main page" set to 0. Once I changed that it displayed. Thanks anyways! :)

You will make these types of changes in all related stylesheets. I recommend using firefox and installing the web developer tools if you will be doing this type of customization.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

What would cause the page to continue to scroll on and on well past the footer? How can I reduce it to a reasonable length below the footer?
