Re: Australia Post Shipping Module 2.0

OK, installed the new paypal "PayPal RESTful" and that fixed it. Definitely an issue with the packaged paypal express.

Re: Australia Post Shipping Module 2.0

Everything works ok but getting a debug error on line 693 in includes/modules/shipping/aupost.php.

if ((is_array($methods)) && (sizeof($methods) == 0)) {
Is this missing a bracket '(' before (sizeof.........?

Re: Australia Post Shipping Module 2.0

That was corrected in v2.5.6e.
There is a newer version v2.5.7 in the GitHub https://github.com/OldNGreyBMR/aupost/releases/tag/v2.5.7 that corrects some pricing errors and other PHP 8.x issues.
I have only included the code as a zc_plugin. If you have the files under the traditional structure you can just copy the shipping module files aupost.php and aupostoverseas.php over the existing ones.

The better way is to remove the aupost files under the old structure and just install from zc_plugins. This new method is so much easier.

Re: Australia Post Shipping Module 2.0

Version 2.5.7a of AusPost is in the GitHub https://github.com/OldNGreyBMR/aupost/releases/tag/v2.5.7a. This fixes Issue #19 Missing method 'id' for excess length, volume and weight quotes.

When Australia Post updates prices no changes are required as all quotes are obtained directly from Aust Post based on parameters provided.

Is it showing handling fees at all eg (Inc $2.50 P & H) on the line for each estimate? If it is not then "Hide handling fees" is set to yes in the Admin configuration for AusPost.
If the fees are showing but have $0.00 value is is because of extra characters in the value for that item in the admin config. Remove any leading spaces and punctuation marks and currency signs.

What I have is an old module called handling Fees which I can set a dropdown amount and this works for each indivual product because they are all different sizes and weights.

How it worked in the past was that I would set the handling fee from $1.00 to $21.00 (and I could even set higher amounts) for any product that I wished and it would the overwright the OZ Post module handling fee if it was large amount and if less the OZ post would use its handling fee. Screen shot below.

I have the old module if you want to have a look I can email it to you. The version was 1.38

The only Handling Fees plugin I could find is the one from Numinix "Product Handling Fees - Version: 1.2.3.0". Which is not compatible past PHP 8.1.
I could not get it to run.

Your screen display is totally different as the Numinix version uses 'Handling Fee Groups'.
Where did you get the plugin?

I will have to get back to you regarding the module because it was modified by a developer some time back so that I could do the handling fee per product rather than a group situation.

The group does not work for me because of different sizes of product and weight etc.

If you want any files to look at I can email to you.

Thank you for having a look at it for me it is appreciated.

I am in the process of going through my site to fix up and clean up what people have left behind and then get the modules that I had in the past to work how they did when I had version 1.5.5e.

PM the files to me. No guarantees. Is it a plugin or are there modified core files required as well?

Re: Australia Post Shipping Module 2.0

Hi OldNGrey,

I am having an issue with this section:

Cost on Error
If an error occurs this Flat Rate fee will be used.
A value of zero will disable this module on error.

An example is that a customer just purchased an item (engine) to go to Canada and it defaulted to a rate of $250.00 (which I put in the box) and purchased the item when freight cost is around $722.00. If I put wording in the box I get a error message showing on the site.

Is it possible to be able to have it display TBA when the goods are out of the shipping dimensions rather than a figure as all items are different sizes and weight.

Any advise would be appreciated.

It ahs been tested on ZC versions 158 to 210 with PHP 8.2 to 8.4

It can also be download from GitHub https://github.com/OldNGreyBMR/aupost/releases/tag/v2.5.8

I'll have a look at it.
Any error from using a string instead of a numeric value would be from other ZC core modules like currency and shipping that expect a numeric value for the price.

Thank you for taking the time to have a look at it.

I am thinking it would be of a benefit to other members as well being able to quote larger and heaver items unless I am looking at the wrong way.

The plugin queries Australia Post with the parameters you give it. If you go to the Post Office with a parcel they will weight it, measure it and check the destination address and calculate a price.

The plugin works within the given Australia Post constraints: max weight 22 kgs; max length 105cm; max girth 150cm; max volume 0.25 cubic metres.
It mimics the online postage calculator https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/calculate-postage-delivery-times/#/ but gives all matching results in one response based on the options selected in the Admin settings.

If you have the item dimensions (length, width, height and weight) set it will calculate a postage price withing the AP constraints. The plugin cannot guess dimensions.

If the defaulted rate allowed a string such as "TBA" to be used what would you expect the postage rate to display when it is oversized?
I have looked at returning a code which has a brief explanation of any error and a $0 price. See the image below

Re: Australia Post Shipping Module 2.0

Hello,
I'm getting a fatal error on this module. I'm using a fresh creation of the latest zencart v2.1.0

The problem arises if I have more than one option selected. For overseas module if I select Economy and Standard options to be active, but then select Standard on checkout it crashes. If only one option is enabled eg, Economy then the process continues without issue. This happens for both Local and overseas modules.

The logs describe the following error.

[16-Jul-2025 02:32:27 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: strlen(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, bool given in myadressurl/includes/modules/shipping/aupostoverseas.php:121

#2 /myadressurl/index.php(35): require('/home/customer/...')
#3 {main}
thrown in /myadressurl/includes/modules/shipping/aupostoverseas.php on line 121

Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

line 121 of this modules is

if (strlen($search) > 0 && $search >= 0) break ;

the full section its in is:

if (zen_not_null($method) && (isset($_SESSION['overseasaupostQuotes']))) {
$testmethod = $_SESSION['overseasaupostQuotes']['methods'] ;

        foreach($testmethod as $temp) {

in addition to the post above I have also noted an earlier warning related to shipping, shown here.
