Australia Post Shipping Module 2.0

This version:

• has improved response handling for when the Internet is down;

• checks for XML response in case Australia Post turns it off again when they do an update (as occurred on 2026-04-13)

• has an updated new invoice file which now contains a switch to display the customers Telephone number and email address below the Delivery Address.
  From 2026-05-31 it is a requirement from Australia Post to provide this information for every parcel lodged. See the example images in the docs folder. To set the switch, in the invoice.php file, change the variable $SHOW_AP_TELEPHONE to "Yes";

This will be submitted to the admins for approval.

The new invoice file:

I have resubmitted the modified invoice for ZC158 as the one from the plugins is only for zc2.x and above.
I have used this with my local post office and the recipient receives a tracking message when the parcel is lodged.

To be honest I have no idea.
I have enquired but received no response. I know of two users whom I have assisted with other stuff.
The previous version was downloaded 36 times.

So 37 including me, although I am a few versions behind downloading.

Australia Post Shipping module v3.0.0 has been submitted for approval.

This version has been rewritten to use the Australia Post json API and no longer uses XML.
Changes:

• Parcel size calculations rewritten to calculate optimal parcel size
• Still displays Live/Real-Time Shipping rates on your Zen Cart Shopping Cart page
• Fully encapsulated plugin that removes legacy files.
• Modified invoice to meet Australia Post and ATO requirements

This encapsulated version will not install on versions prior to 2.1.0.

I am trying to uninstall V3.1, is there an SQL to delete things from database?

I clicked uninstall it via the shipping module in admin (as it wasn't showing in plugin manager?!) and it worked but I keep getting error pop up when I go to shipping module...

You have your setting in Admin > Configuration > Shipping/Packaging > "Enter the maximum Package Weight you will ship" set to a value greater than 22.

That warning only appears in Admin. In the user interface any postage quote will default to the max imum charge you have set and display "Australia Post (Exceeds maximum weight of 22kg)"

To uninstall the Australia Post shipping module completely go to Admin > Modules > Plugin Manager > select "Australia Post" and click un-Install and click Un-Install again.

I will update v3.1 so that message will only appear if the module is installed.

On a separate issue, do you send parcels that weigh more than 22kg?

Hi and thanks for your response.

I've already changed the weight to several weights above and below 22 and made no difference.

Australia Post was not showing in plugins, it was under shipping module ONLY (that was the only way to uninstalled it).

No, I do no send parcels over 22kg :)

I've decided to just have a flat rate hence why I'm removing this plugin.
