USPS Shipping mod. HELP!!

Hi all I have a good friend who I helped set up her Zen cart on her website, that is having issues with her Zen cart USPS shipping module

• This is what she told me about the issue -

"I am having issues with our shipping module on the website. I uninstalled the USPS shipping and reinstalled it as that was the advice on the help forum but it has not resolved the issue. If you add a saddle or larger item to your cart and go to check out, if you choose the cheaper ground shipping method, and then go on to checkout, it will automatically change it to the higher priced priority shipping. Cannot get the ground shipping to stick. I went onto the help site and everything said to just uninstall and reinstall but that did not fix it for me. Also will not calculate overseas shipping properly. "

What should I do??? I am not very familiar with Zen Cart and I have to help her figure this out as she is loosing sales :-( Any and all Help greatly appreciated!!!!!

Did you download the current USPS July 28, 2013 J5 version of USPS:

I am not sure what she downloaded and reinstalled... I will try and install this one and see if it fixes the issue!! Thank you, will let you know here directly if it fixes the issue!!

Ummm one question ... which one do I download and install??? That thread has several options and I am not a zenner... not sure what to do? I am so sorry! I feel a little over whelmed!

When downloading addon plugins always take the most current one from the Orange button that reads:
Download Latest

Okay Bad News.... did the update and now NONE of the shipping options are showing up??? What in the world am I supposed to do now? This is really not good :-(

this is the message when you go to check out for the shipping???? Could this be an issue with our settings in the Admin area, USPS or the New Update?

Take out the changes and let me work through this after a few I am seeing an issue that you cannot fix at the moment but the clean one should work for you ...

The changes for function parseDomesticTransitTimeResults should also work for you ... I just have to work out some things for function parseIntlTransitTimeResults and that will be later this afternoon or tonight ...

See if this version works for you ...

I have added 1 for not guaranteed Domestic and 1 for not guaranteed International that you can customize further as needed ...

Also check that Jordan is working for you ...

Okay thank you... There is only one PHP file in this attachment?? Where do I put it? and do need to remove both of the other ones I just installed completely?

Put the new file from the Zip for usps.php in the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping

you still need the usps.php file that is already in:
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping

Okay updated the website with the new File you gave me and uninstalled and then reinstalled the USPS mod. on the Store Back office and it is still not working! I don't know what to do at this point? I am getting the same error message that USPS is not working as before.

Could you edit the Modules ... Shipping ... and edit the USPS and turn on your Logs ...

Test the shipping and then Zip the log and your current
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

from the server ...

I am so sorry but I am lost! I will gladly do anything just not sure what you mean... We edited the USPS Mod in the stores back office and if you can explain the rest I will gladly get those files and zip it up to send to you just not sure what your talking about.

Okay I see the Debug mode... and the logs option is that what I am to do?

Okay ... in your FTP program you want to check that the file:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

is the same on both your computer and the server so that you can include it in the Zip that you are sending me ...

If you turned on the Debug Log in the USPS shipping module, you will find logs generated in your directory:
/logs

or, if running an older version of Zen Cart, it logs are saved to the directory:
/cache

Now if you test your shipping for Domestic and for International, you should see log files generated for both ...

You want to download these logs to your computer so that you can include them in the Zip file that you are making ...

The reason for asking to get a copy of:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

from the server is to ensure that the one that you are sending me is the same thing that is running on your server ...

One question though, do we need to make a "trial sale" in both domestic and international purchases or does the debug do it on its own?

The Debug logs are generated when you hit the checkout_shipping or even the shipping_estimator ...
