Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

sw1138lr:

Not sure if this is a general Zen Cart issue or Sheffield Blue. In my current production version of zen cart the customer has the option to enter a Billing and Shipping address. But on Sheffield Blue they can only enter one address. Any way to allow 2 addresses (Billing and shipping)?

With the default install of zen cart and the template installed, the checkout has step 1 Shipping Method (you can change the shipping address by clicking on the "change address" button), then step 2 payment method (you can change the payment address by clicking on the "change address" button), then step 3 3 - Order Confirmation (you can change the payment or shipping address by clicking on the "change address" button). See the template demo:

http://zenlyzen.com/mobile-friendly-zen-cart/

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

harshbs:

When I unzipped and launched the index.html in the readme folder, it launches the Black Winchester help file, not the Responsive Sheffield Blue help file. Most of it is the same, but there are some things not shown that should be.

Edited: I just found your "Live" help file at https://www.picaflor-azul.com/demos/install/readme/responsive_sheffield_blue_readme.html

No action needed on your part other than to know the help file is the wrong product.

Thank you!

The template package does come with the readme for the responsive sheffield blue. My guess is that you had previously installed the winchester black and not removed its readme files.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Pauls:

This is a great responsive theme (I managed to install it in one day ... for the most part ... I have upgraded zencart to the 1.5.5a today also), thank you so much for creating it. I have an issue, it appears to be with JSON and the error happens only when I try to login to the site or when I try to add something to the shopping cart ..... the error reads something like this

unexpected token m in json at position 0 was received while processing an ajax call. The action you requested could not be repeated ... I click OK the requester goes away and I can continue with the new page .... any ideas ?

If you do a forum search for something like upgrading picaflor azul templates to 1.5.5 you will find a thread that outlines the fix.

Thanks,

Anne

Hi Anne,
I know you've been busy so I'm not sure what to do.
It's been a couple months since you hoped to have the template updated for Zen cart v1.5.5 finished soon. I'm wondering if there is a version of Responsive Sheffield Blue somewhere that has already been updated and has had known bug fixes applied?

I am still working on getting this completed. If anyone is interested in sponsoring the update, let me know. Then I can move it up to the top of the queue.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

gunni:

Thanks Anne,
My question is general - is it possible for a beginner to make your template to be Accessible as I mentioned before (button for font size,
button for color change etc') or that your template was not prepared for this and it is better to wait for a ready template ?

I don't see why you could not make the changes to this template. I do not know what skill level you would need to do it.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I am using v2.0 of the template and I am running into an issue with my social media buttons. I used the code indicated in the readme file, but on my site it shows the code rather than just the buttons. I have included a picture of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! When making an edit that includes html code, one needs to use the editor in source view mode. There is a button approximately in the middle of the icons above the text entry area that either has the word source in the text of the button or in the popup when hovering over the button.

Once selected, then the text with html in it can be pasted. Selecting that button again will then show the content as referenced from the admin folder (which may appear as broken links/images, but the content when published/saved will be used/referenced from the catalog side of the store.)

Additionally/further, if you take a look back in time even a page (~10 posts) back this "issue" is described with direction/guidance of a sort is provided. Unfortunately, this is something that has been posted about several times with guidance of various types provided all similar just done differently.

I cant seem to find the "icons" you mentioned. Here is a screen shot of what I am working with. Attachment 16569

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

I have installed the other Template that Anne designed. Its the Windchester Black. After the installation I got a partial page. I lost the side boxes (Categories, Etc.) and the Product Module in the middle. Then I switch it back to Responsive Sheffield Blue still the same you can see it here. http://www.morrisgiftshop.biz

And you can see the error log(s) related to it in your logs directory. Experiencing a blank or partial blank screen.

Assuming that you're using a version of ZC 1.5.5 then, installed possibly before the sanitization script was updated to allow ez-pages to have and properly handle html in an ez-page. (sorry, I had thought the icons were controlled/presented in a define page, but see from the above image that it is an ez-page and there had been earlier posts that ez-pages were over sanitized).

See the following thread about updating the sanitization scripts/addressing some of the issues identified with ZC 1.5.5.

So, noticed the post earlier today on the other thread asking about why there were no sideboxes on the index page. I didn't think it was appropriate for me to answer. The template was designed to not have sideboxes on the main page. As to why it appears you are missing possible the define_main_page content is hard to tell. On a mobile it appears that the remainder of the page displays but a portion of content has been "omitted" though it could also have been bypassed by a modification made to some code. The absence of a debug log (assuming the remainder of the site is setup) leads to questioning the condition of the files involved with ZC and each of the templates. If they are both experiencing the same problem then that would typically imply that the file(s) in question are non-overridden files and could be induced by a number of methods. So the easy question to ask which can be hard to answer is how is the site specifically modified as compared to a base install? Does this problem persist if you briefly transition to the ZC basic classic template?

Ok, I switch it to ZC Basic Classic Green. You can see the layout now. I am not getting the product module. Everything started messed up when I installed the Windchester Black.

Guess I missed the window of opportunity... Back to Winchester Black and down for maintenance.

Actually I am currently working on the site to get it fixed. I managed got the New Products on the main page. But I wish it has side boxes on the main page. I got it off "Down for Maintenance" mode.

Regarding the other layout boxes on other pages, have you gone to the layout manager on the tools menu and reset the sideboxes (assume the instructions include this guidance... possibly...). It won't fix the lack of sideboxes on the main page (template specifically designed to exclude them though such things can be changed.. Just might take a bit of css work which should be addressed at the template's forum rather than this one.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v2.0

Hello, using
zencart 1.54
Sheffield Blue 2.0

Well I really messed up my top ribbon and links.

The ribbon now is much wider than before.
The down arrows have disappeared
The dropdowns are not working
The links are wrong.

I have been looking at this problem for over a day and can't get it fixed.

You can see this at http://religious-shop.com

If you need any additional information, please let me know.

Any help, suggestions or hints would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Frank

Well with a little help from another post, here is how I fixed the problem:

open common/html_header.php

check that

Code:
/** CDN for jQuery core **/
is above

Code:
/**

  • load all site-wide jscript_*.js files from includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/jscript, alphabetically

after doing this the problem was solved.

Strange (to me). I see in the clean file set zc 1.5.5a that the jQuery and site-wide jscript bits are sequenced as your fix suggests. Yet in my Resp Sheff Blue 2.0 the jQuery call comes after the side-wide jscript call, and before the page-specific jscript call.

But the strange part is that I've not had the symptoms with ribbon that you describe.
