I have successfully integrated my WordPress blog with Zen Cart. It runs smoothly.

However, I started getting an error in the shipping estimator that looks like this:

I have finally figured out the problem. There is a conflict between the wordpress on zen cart module that was causing the visitors cart shipping estimator problem. When I removed the wordpress-config.php file, the shipping estimator works. I figured this out by starting from a fresh zen cart install and building the cart back up one module at a time, until it broke the visitors cart shipping estimator.

If anyone has any insight as to how to make the wordpress on zen cart module work without this bug, please post here.

Thank you.Short answer is nope.. If you look through this thread it has been more than implied/stated that the code in the configuration file causes issues with many mods. However, so far no one participating in this thread has posted a solution. (You can to a thread search to see if this is true..)

One strange thing about using WOZ is that some of the incompatabilities are not apparent at first. I have seen issues with the shipping estimator (doesn't work), ez pages (links to the pages don't appear until the WOZ sidebox is disabled, then re-enabled), customer comment field field issue noted above did not appear until a few weeks after WOZ installation. In Ceon's Advanced Shipper, WOZ was overwriting some settings in the shipping methods fields a few weeks after it was installed. I hope this helps Hira determine some clues as to what could be the issue.

I didn't find a solution. I deleted the wordpress-config.php file. So, yes, the shipping estimator is working just fine, but the blog isn't integrating with Zen Cart.

Please comment out the following.
wordpress-config.php file

$i = strlen(DIR_WS_CATALOG);
  $req = substr($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'],$i,1);
  if($req == '?'){
    $_GET['main_page'] = FILENAME_WORDPRESS;
  }

I think whether the problem of ezpage is solved in this.
There is possibility of the solution in the problem of the emulator, too. Please feed back.

Yep.. It's too bad too.. This module has HISTORICALLY been problematic, and no offense to Hira, but it's not been very well supported either.. (Hira disappeared shortly after the initial release of this mod in 2007 and has not made an appearance in this thread until the 1.4 release in Nov 2009. He did not even answer WOZ questions on his own blog.)

All of this is what lead me to seek other blog embedding solutions.. I still keep tabs on this thread in case things have changed because the inquisitive side of me just "needs to know". In the meantime I have had to move on to find solutions for my clients that WORK consistently.. (Hence how I came up with the "WOZ Sidebox Only" solution) I've had good success with the following blog integration solutions:

1. WOZ Sidebox Only" solution
2. Numinix Blog Embedding (for which a friend helped me develop sideboxes to go along with this solution)
   You might want to have a look at the Numinix solution.. It seems to me that you aren't using the sideboxes from the WOZ mod anyway.. So perhaps the Numinix solution might work better for you.    (just remove the spaces from the URL posted.. I didn't want search engines picking up these links..)
