Chemo's Ultimate URL's

There is a solution to the EZpages problem you described. I do not have time to flip to the pages right now but I thought I'd let you know if you have the time the solution is on one of the pages. Alternatively you can do a few search with EZPages as the keyword and perhaps you can limit your search to just this thread.

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

I know Dreamscape is working on a new release, but I have SEO URLs working on 1.3.5, perfectly; however I use Google's Site Map, and I'm wondering if anyone has been able to get the site map to convert the URLs from the dynamic to the new output of the SEO Friendly URLs? I've read through this entire thread and I saw one other person had the same issue, but I did not see the resolution... I'm about blind from re-reading - so If I missed it could someone point it out to me?

Thanks

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

I am getting

Fatal error: Call to undefined function gzdeflate() in /....

in my 1.3.5 zen installation. I saw another thread mentioning this but didn't understand how they fixed it. I used the latest install info (skipped direction #2, added the predone files, etc.) Can someone help?

Thanks!

A

dreamscape:

Yes absolutely. Lack of funding is what is holding it up. I'm not independently wealthy (yet), so most of my programming time goes to earning income, and the rest of my time I really don't feel like programming or burning myself out ;-)

The new version is about 80%-85% of the way completed, and I probably need about 10 - 15 dedicated hours to complete it.

If there are enough people interested in donating to fund completion, I can set up something at fundable.org

We contributed because we believed the funding could speed up the rest 15-20%. We are pretty sure dreamscape no need to complete that 10-15 dedicated hours in over months.

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

Hello SEO experts

Have installed ultimate_seo_urls_v2.101

All OK… but, URLS appear as:

Mysite/mywidget-p-123.html

Would prefer simply

Mysite/mywidget.html

Is this possible? Cannot locate this option in SEO ADMIN

Thanks

I suspect that it would require a lot of re-coding, and you'd have to make sure that every product had a unique name. The possibilities for error are vast.

I think the advantages in having a direct access to products by code are very strong, so even if it were possible, I'm not sure I'd advise just showing names in URLs.

How could you stop store owners accidentally giving two products the same name?

BlessIsaacola:

Dreamscape,

Thanks very much for this fix!

The fix you provided works brilliant to make this contribution compatible with EZPages whether the Mod is enabled or disabled.

Now I need to test the credit card issue that was reported as well as why the music link is showing something like thehunter.mp3.html which of course doesn't play. I personally do not use the media clip option from the admin but I am suspecting it will do the same thing if I upload media clip via product description.

Hi. I downloaded the Utimate SEO mod in the downloads section a couple days back. It works and rewrites the URL for all the categories and products. However, my pages built using EZPages are showing as http://domain.com/page.html?chapter=0&id=1 unlike the products where the product name is in the URL. I want the EZPages titles to reflect in the URL instead of page.html?chapter=0&id=1. How do I do this? Instead of http://domain.com/page.html?chapter=0&id=1 I would like it to show http://domain.com/about-us.html or http://domain.com/where-to-buy.html or something like that in order for it to be SEO friendly:)

Thanks

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

I installed the Chemo's Ultimate URL's. Everything works fine except that I could no longer access the admin page after installing, it gives a Page Not Found page instead. Any one else experiencing this? Help needed please. Thanks!

I don't believe this is possible. EZ pages will always show up as /page.html?chapter... etc

In the downloads section is the "About Us" contribution - you can use that and duplicate it to fit the pages you need (about_us.php, where_to_buy.php) and those would show up as the 2 examples you listed above

Hi. I installed this mod and it works for the front end, but it won't display the admin section. I just get a blank page....any suggestions?

a_berezin's Google SitemapAdmin mod does it correctly, using the search engine friendly URL's created by this mod

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's

There appears to be a compatibility issue between the Ultimate URL's SEO module and the Paypal module which results in orders getting stuck in limbo.

See this thread for details

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I haven't found one - though changing the HTTPS config settings seems to have resolved the problem for me.

Was that sometime two months ago? Maybe dreamscape will include the new fix with his new year resolution? :sleepy:
