Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

Kuroi,
Just one more question for you.

If you go here and see this you might have a quick answer hoping you do anyway.

What is causing the right side banners to act as they are but the left side is working the way it should.

Below is a link to the zipped css file if it will be any help since the forum is character filtered.

stylesheet.zip

Thanks in advance

Ok. That worked great for lining them up but I'm still stuck on how get them tighter together. Basically like a table only not. This is sort of the look I'm after:

I've tried messing with several of the classes and id's with no luck. You can see that I've got a border around the entire form so I know which on controls that div but I'm having troubles moving the individual pieces. I've got the bg color on the labels so I can see what results I get. that really helped me under stand the lining up of the input boxes.

I've been digging around the net but cant' seem to find out how to tighten up the from vertically. Sorry for asking so many questions. Hopefully as I I get better at this I'll have something to contribute.
Can you be more specific about what you mean by tightening this up vertically? Your site looks tighter to me in this direction than the model you wish to follow.

Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

Kuroi,

Last night and this morning I completely uninstalled ZC and started over. My host had to unistall the original installation via their autoinstaller. It was jacked. So once they did that I installed 1.3.0.2 and it solved my problems. At least all my product image problems. I've rebuilt all the options and the form looks way better.

It probalby had a lot to do with importimg my database from my first install. I didn't do that this time and everything is looking much better.

Thanks for the help though! I have a few other things I still have to figure out.

But don't download it until tomorrow :wink2:It's now tomorrow where I am so, please feel free to download the newly updated version - there's not really new functionality but there is a bug fix, some allowances for Zen Cart version 1.3.5 and some general tidying and smartening up.

Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

I have made myself buttons with the for our use of the Future Zen template. Before I contribute them, would like for a person or two to try them and provide feedback.

I think they look Future zen-ish, but, it's always good to have more heads. Perhaps you will like, perhaps not.

So, send me some PM if you want me to send to you. And, be SURE you will actually get back to me, it does me no good if you get them and don't tell me what you think.

I've done some extensive eidting of the previous future zen stylesheet. I have upgraded to 1.3.5 with my current FZ template. What are the changes so I can implement them without having to move all my added code to the new version. Do I really need to update FZ since I updated to 1.3.5?

Thanks,

Brad

Other than that I played around with the header and logo styling to make it much more robust (though you will probably have changed this anyway yourself) and finally I sucumbed to the pressure to fix the problem that has been deliverately left in through successive versions i.e I increased the sidebox padding to 0.8em.

Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

Hi, I have made the corners for link_cap_right.gif & title_cap_right.gif transparent and now the right side of the link_cap_left.gif & title_cap_left.gif are showing thru' the transparent portion.

One way to resolve the issue is to not make the corners transparent but is there a CSS way of resolving this type of issue?

Any advise wld be greatly appreciated.

Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

I'm afraid that there is not a CSS way to do this. The whole technique relies on the link_cap_right.gif & title_cap_right.gif images covering their left equivalents, so if you make them transparent the technique cannot work.

If you are using a fixed width layout (or fixed width sideboxes), you could revert to the method used by an earlier verson of future Zen whereby you have a single image for the sidebox header that is the same width as the box. Otherwise you need to choose between stretchyness and transparency if you want rounded corners.

Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

Thanks for your reply Kuroi. Would you perhaps illustrate how may I utilize both the link_cap_left.gif & link_cap_right.gif for the BreadCrumb?

I got the link_cap_right.gif to show using the following:

#navBreadCrumb {
background-image:url(../images/link_cap_right.gif);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-position:bottom right;
margin-top:16px;
font-size: 0.95em;
font-weight: bold;
padding: 0.5em 0 0.5em 1.5em;
}

but can't figure out how to display the link_cap_left.gif

TIA

Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

You would need to create an additional container (in this case a DIV) from which to hang the second image. The most logical way to do this would be to wrap a div around the breadcrumbs e.g. expand line 96 of tpl_main_page.php to be```php

<div id="navBreadCrumbWrapper"> <div id="navBreadCrumb"><?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(BREAD_CRUMBS_SEPARATOR); ?></div> </div> ```and then attach the second image as a baclground image to the new div #navBreadCrumbWrapper in a similar fashion to that which you have done for the right image and #navBreadCrumb.

Re: Free Template "Future Zen"

Firefox/IE

I have made a new logo and moved it to the left of the header.

In Firefox all is O.K, but in IE the logo and the header are both on the left.

I don't know why, but how can I adjust the header back to the middle? please.
