I have a question.

There are acouple of sideboxes that do not allow the complete image to show and sometimes not at all.

I have messed with this for hours and it will not change.

If you have any clue what is causing it please tell. Nothing in the css has been changed

Also how do I widen the sidebox and the height so all the categories are sitting inside the box instead on the edge. Also the header keeps dropping down. Wont stay at top. The footer is to the left

Thanks in advance.You're right that this is not the CSS. The problem is that the HTML being generated is incomplete for the "Secured", "Categories" and "Other Information" boxes. For example, the categories box HTML should have a line that reads> <div id="categoriesContent" class="sideBoxContent">and it is the missing sideBoxContent class upon which the background is hung, which is why it's not appearing.

The good news is that sideBoxContent isn't just used for the background image - it's used for the sideBox's padding as well, so solve this problem and the positioning of the content will sort itself out too.

So, what's happened? It's all on your server so I can only guess, but I'd take a long hard look at your tpl_categories.php file and whatever files you added to create your secured and infopages boxes. Did you code these yourself, or carry them forward from an earlier version of Zen Cart?

What they're doing isn't catastophic, just slightly wrong and so easily fixable. Though I'd actually recommend using Zen Cart 1.3 facilities for each, i.e. adding you link into the extra current tpl_categories file, using a sidebox banner to hold your godaddy link and using EZ-Pages for your other information links.

So what your saying is that the SSL Box, the more information, and the Price are interfering with this template?

As for the tpl.categories.php it is 1.3 as well as rest of the website.

I tried using the override system but isnt working?

The SSl Logo is a must to show customers that the site is secured.

I suspect that the answer to this problem is in your statement that you tried used the override system but it isn't working. If we can get to the bottom of that, I suspect that we'll be a long way towards solving your problem.

The reason that I believe this is because although you have posted the correct 1.3 code for generating the categories sideBox, it does not appear to be the code actually being used on your Zen Cart. Something is overriding it.

Do you have an includes/templates/future_zen/common directory? If so, please can you tell me the names of the files that you have in there.

I didnt mean to confuse you.

However I did have a common directory when it didnt work I deleted it.

The folders I have in there now are

css - your stylesheet code below

images

templates - which include tpl_pricelist_default.php and tpl_modules_product_listing.php

sideboxes - which include tpl_categories.php

pricelist - which include all files needed for the price list.

Thats it.

Now I did create a file in includes/languages/english/future_zen/header.php also includes pricelist.php.

thought this may help but it did not. tried with it and without the header.php all the same.

I've now taken a look at the three sidebox template files that are playing up. Each doesn't quite work because they weren't designed for v1.3 of Zen Cart. Happily there's a single solution that should work for all of them.

As suspected you are overriding the tpl_categories.php from template default with one that appears to be part of a price list add-in that pre-dates version 1.3. Your file needs the line in red inserted at the top// adapted for pricelist v1.04, 2005/09/06 paulm $content = ""; $content .= '<div id="' . str_replace('_', '-', $box_id . 'Content') . The template_default/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php file pre-dates the current version of Zen Cart by some months and if it the one that GoDaddy are still supplying they need a bit of a kick. I'm also a bit curious as to how this came to be added to your template_default - was this a GoDaddy installation? Anyway back to the main point, the file is very short and needs to be explanded to read```

The error message though relates to the lines just under the header comment block. Could you post the code between the header comment block and the comment block a few lines below it?

I added as you said to the top

ok uploaded to the template_default directory sideboxes and works!!

Does this template support over ride?

after all said and done, what needs to be done abotu the footer from aligning left?

Did you notice if you sit on the site for a minute or so the header drops down?

I look for a code that might be doing it but the header.php is the current 1.3 header file.

Any ideas, this is the last and most important part after this it should be finished.

Yeah. Like you can sit there for a minute watching a site waiting for it drop down. I certainly couldn't, just had the move the mouse a bit, and then not only did the site take a tumble, the penny dropped too.

This is a problem with your Image Handler configuration. What's happening is that the hover images from the products in the center panel aren't floating elegantly over the top of that panel, they're going to the top left and pushing the whole page down.

This is best viewed in Firefox, as the offending images are invisible in Internet Explorer and Opera, but rather more obvious in Firefox. There is a separate support thread for Image Handler and I'd recommend taking this problem over there for Tim (the author) to take a look at (if there's not a solution already in that thread)

Just to rub salt into the cross-browser conpatibility wound, you have a flash movie in your center panel, but it only shows in Internet Explorer - not Firefox or Opera.
