Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

ah, um well I didn't actually see a uninstall IH button, doesn't matter though, cos I'm really dumb....I forgot to change permissions on bmz_cache, which fixed my problem.....:sleepy:

one other thing: I have changed all the image sizes I can see to about 250350
but they are still showing up as about 5060. (normal listing, large image popup and zooming window)
Ihave all images saved to the main directory as I upload them is this correct.

The only place they show correct size is in the preview page in admin.

First, let me say thanks for the plugin. I'm sure it will be most beneficial to the speed of my website but at the moment I am having trouble getting it to work.

I am in the process of switching from my existing OSC cart to Zen Cart. I've uploaded and installed Zen Cart to a subdirectory of my live site. I've installed IH2 fine and all seems well, but when I go into Admin->Tools->IH2->Manager and select a product it says that there are no images for the prodcut. When I browse to that product through the catalog I see the image. Also, when I click on the 'view larger' button on the catalog size, I only get the smaller size. I am using the images from the live site rather than duplicate them all. The images are all in /images and the image paths were entered when the products were entered. For example:

''decals/nativeamerican/d62253-RANDOM_IMAGES.gif'

Not how when you click on the larger image it the popup image isn't any larger than what is being displayed even though the OSC and Zen Cart are both aimed at the same source tif file.

have you set your image settings in admin -> config -> images ? it looks like you do NOT have proportional images and resizing on (i high lighted them in red for you) and so its trying to mush your current image in the settings there. also you need to SET your image sizes on that same page. here is a copy of mine so you know what i mean...

it doesn't look like IH is installed completely.. the roll over isn't there and the files are linked back to the original

as far as your image goes, reupload it for that product. That stretching effect happens when it finds a version of the file, but cannot find any other versions of it -- example, if you have a 'medium' version of it and theres no standard version.. it will stretch it to fit

How do I tell which version of GD my server has (without having to ask the sys admin guy?)

admin panel > tools > version/server info.. and somewhere towards the middle/bottom half is the "GD" table with info about it :)

My small images are zooming to Large proportions instead of medium. I've set these in config/images to small values i.e. 140:100 for medium size images but they are zooming in well over 500:400. I thought it may have something to with my version of GD so I went into my server for a looksie, heer's what i found, all comments welcome please:

All I have at the top of the page of PHP vERSION 4.4.3 (The server is Apache1.3.37 (Unix) in the configure command area is:

• --with-gd=shared
• --enable-gd-native-tff

I don't have a seperate table at the bottom of the page showing me GD support info.

• Does this mean I dont have the correct version of GD?
• Or is this the way in which Unix displays it's support for GD?

I see no mention of GD.ImageMagick - where do you define which one you are using and the path - used to be in Config page on the older IH.

Am I missing something? Did this get answered and I over looked it?
My 1.27 config - images had a setting for this but not this newly installed 1.3.5. IH is my first contrib add on.

Also when I look in admin - tools - server info-

I see no mention of GD but I know it is there because I am using it on my other 1.27d site just fine.

I just downloaded and installed Image Handler 2 into my Zen 1.3.5.
Seemed ok, clicked on the install, still fine. Clicked on Admin etc, still ok.
When I clicked on 'manager' I got the following error.

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/ih_manager.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/woodgate/public_html/control/image_handler.php on line 153.

I have tried reloading the image_handler.php file, but now I cannot get into Image Handler 2 at all.

Anyone have any ideas?

maybe im missing something , buy when i upload an image to a product , the new image gets added to every product in that catergory :(

I have spent hours searching, and find no answers to my prior question about missing GD support choice (I did find other having same problem). But I did notice that my admin - Config - Images also have other added and missing items in comparison to some of the other recent posts. It appears that some of my old IH settings is still there (had it on old site).

I tried the IH2 admin and removed it from DB, then readded, but no change. I tried scanning (IH2 admin) for old IH and files before installing, but it said none where there.
This is a fresh install of 1.3.5, with just IH2 added. The DB is my old 1.2.7 and upgraded to 1.3.5.

I went to PHPmyAdmin, but don't know where to look in the DB. I thought I would just manully throw out any IH referances and then add it again. I am not sure of this and at a dead in.

Could someone tell me where in DB is IH2 and IH-old putting its info?
And is my idea for fix sound?
Or is this some other problem, I just don't know. I have not moved over my old site files or templates, I am starting fresh.

"Additional images" didn't show up after install IH2

(1) Before I install IH2 and it works. After I installed IH2, additional images disappeared.
(2) Server Info:
Zen Cart 1.3.5
PHP Version 4.4.4

(3) I follow the step in Admin- tools-IH2 and add some more photos on new items but still not work.
(4) I set 3 additional images per row.
(5) Additional images function is "on"
(6) I did set "image" and "bmz_cache" folder attribute to 777

I think I need an Image Handler (0ld) SQL uninstall patch. But that is not to be found by me.

I am not sure if these extra DB features are my problem, just where I thought I would start. But now I see that even if you try to start a clean install with no mods, all the DB SQL installs for older mods will still be there. I may need to remove them one by one, if I could figure that out. Maybe not needed, at least I don't have too many.

I am assuming, from what I have posted above, that the IH2 Admin does not remove any thing from DB.

I installed IH for 1.35. It seems to be working fine. My only question is that my additional images are really close to one another.

I also tried the download Product Info Display with add'l images relocated and they are still very close.

I would greatly appreciated any help.

Check your setting under Admin > Configuration > Images > Product Info - Number of Additional Images per Row ... default is 3. Depending on the width of your store and how big your thumbnails are, you should adjust the number to fit your needs :)

I found one more error:
Normally, when your mouse point to the small picture, the large picturer will popup either on the top or on the buttom.
Eg:
http://www.getyourgameshere.com/store/

However, my website didn't popup correctly.
If the small photo is on the buttom, the large photo coun't popup.
If the small photo is ont hte top of the page, large photo could popup without problem.
Eg:
http://www.hssgear.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7

Anyone know how to solve this problem?
