Has anyone figured out how to sort the attributes alphabetically?

dealbyethan.com:

Has anyone figured out how to sort the attributes alphabetically?

do you mean in admin page? or viewing it as a customer?
viewing as customer i find that it somehow automatically does the alphabetical sort order. anyway you can set it in admin pages "manually otherwise"

if you refer on adminpages there is no alphabetical sortorder, I was looking for that too.
for example, put them in an exact sort order or part sortorder by giving all words starting with 'a' sortorder 11, 'b' 12, 'c' 13 etc etc.
you can do that here: admin/catalog/[option name sorter] or [option value sorter].

thanks

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

Hi all, I am using the Improved Atts Controller and am in the process of copying a new set of attributes to every category. I've been able to do this with most of the categories buy now, all of a sudden, instead of copying the atts, it tried to download the attributes_controller! Anybody have an idea why this would be happening?

Thanks, I just tried that and it didn't work. I am able to copy to product but not to category. Strange, huh?

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

i've read the whole thread but cant seem to figure out how to get this to work.

What I'm trying to do is:

attribute A - Whatever 1
Whatever 2
Whatever 3

attribute B - Different 4
Different 5
Different 6

In the dropdown selection to show attribute a and attribute b and to have another dropdown selection with the other selection (whatever 1, 2 etc,. ) and when the customer selection for example attribute a in the second dropdown it would only show whatever 1, whatever2, etc. and if the customer selects attribute b it would only show Different 4, Different 5 etc.

Any help is much appreciated

seems you mean a dependant attribute. what is shown in attribute B is dependant on what is chosen on attribute A.

I too are looking for this, but doesn't seem ZC is no where near this function in their planning, sorry.

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

When I copy the mod into /admin/includes/languages/english I receive an error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare draw_optiontype_pulldown() (previously declared in E:\XAMPP\htdocs\hn\admin\attributes_controller.php:532) in E:\XAMPP\htdocs\hn\admin\includes\languages\english\attributes_controller.php on line 560

I am running 1.3.7.1 and just downloaded the mod today.

HELP!

Thanks
Rod

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

Is there a way to make the attribute boxes larger when choosing attributes. Mine seem so small and while I am fine with the constant scrolling in the "right side" box "values I think" I would love to make these just a little bit longer and possibly a bit wider.

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

After implementing the modded file I now only have the phrases "option name" & "option value" displayed in their respective fields when I pull up a product. It's not actually populating the boxes, any thoughts?

I figured out it has to do something with my Database.
I Installed a fresh copy of Zencart.
Installed the Improved Attribute Controller and it was working properly.

Then through the SQL backup mod (on both sites)
I put the data through to the test site.
Then I get the same problem mentioned above.

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

I finally got this mod to work.
But only by rolling back some mods in my backup files...

Now the problem I am having is this:

I am getting this error
Every time I do ANYTHING in the improved attribute controller,
It waits about 30 Seconds and then I get:

Default warning: unresponsive script

I hit, Continue,
But then I do not get any other type of error. It just works like it should.
Just very frustrating to wait 30 Seconds for every change I want to make.
This happens about every move I have with this new file.

I know it has to be something in it because what I am doing is just changing
back to the original file and putting back the Improved Attribute Controller when I need that functionality.

Any Suggestions how to resolve?
I am running 1.3.8

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

After I made my post, I installed it, and it has been working great on my copy of 1.3.8a (upgraded from 1.3.7)

Of course, I also don't have a lot of mods that change the DB either.
