Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

Sorry, that is known as "dependent attributes" and is a different set of code than the admin Option Name/Value/Attribute pages. It is not available as such for Zen Cart, though Stock by Attributes will handle inventory, and Product Attribute Grid may handle two attributes similar to what you want.

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

Improved Attributes Controller has quit displaying anything in in the Option Name and Option Value columns. I'm running Zen-Cart v1.3.8a with Improved Attributes Controller mod version 1.1b2. It seems that this has happened to other users and I find no fix for my current store version. I understand that it is built in to v1.3.9 version but I want to get it going again for v.1.3.8a. Can you assist with my isssue please?

All attributes display if I revert back to the v1.3.8a attribute_controller.php from installation file package. Post #284 says to use no quotes (") in product_options. This site has had quotes (") in this file for a long time. I can add new attributes and delete them but have no options on the items attribute page.

My images below used to have Size, Width and Color names. Some how last week this broke and Improved Attribute Controller (attribute_controller.php) quit displaying any attributes.

Please see my image here

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

Hello,
I sell T-Shirts and Sweatshirts. All of my products come in the standard sizes of sm, med, lg, etc. If a shirt is XXL or larger I add $2 to the price.

How do I get these options to apply to all my shirts? Do I really have to do each one individually?

this mod works well on 1.38,
but it doesn't work on 1.39h, after i choose all the option value and click insert, it just takes me to the admin main page, nothing inserted.

Did you try to install this mod in v1.3.9h? You don't need to, as it is already built into the code.

I haven't installed this module and I know this module is built in 1.3.9 but it does exactly what the first poster describes. Any ideas how to fix the problem. Thank you in advance.

Just ignore this I post. I posted maybe in the right thread over here.

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see the functionality for the Improved Attributes Controller (specifically the Dependent Attributes) built in to version 1.3.9. Can someone point me in the right direction so I can use this functionality?

Thanks!

I'm curious as to why you think there are Dependent Attributes - unless it's ME that's missing something!

The only thing dependent about this particular version is that depending on which option name you select, all the values for that name are displayed and can be selected in multiples as opposed to the old way which was individually.

Similarly, you can delete an option name and all its values in one go from a product.

Re: Improved Attributes Controller (now built-in to v1.3.9)

Going back to the first post in this thread, "making the option values that appear in the second box dependent upon the selection in the first box ", it sounded like the mod this thread was about would provide for dependent attributes, eg. a second option value depends on the what is selected for the first option value.

Yep - the first box is the option name, the second contains the values.

When I click on one of the option names, the second box does not display any values. I'm using a cart upgraded from 1.3.7 to 1.3.9. I believe I had this mod installed on my 1.3.7 cart before the upgrade.

Any ideas?

Make sure that you have the ZC139 default admin/attributes_controller.php file installed, not the one from the "module"

I did, but then I also downloaded a brand new sparkly copy of ZC 1.3.9h, unzipped it and uploaded the attributes_controller.php file after deleting the old one. Still no love.

In that case, it could well be be that you missed something during your upgrade process; if you still have the old files, perhaps run through the file comparison process again?

I assume the values still exist in the database and still display in other places you'd expect?

Mostly. There's a couple places where they don't show up, seemingly at random. Like here: http://inventory.oddbodkin.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=648

And of course there's the problem of not being able to edit product attributes very effectively. :)
