Recover Cart [Support Thread]

getyourgameshere.com:

also a quick note.. i just downloaded the file from andrew's site (a_berezin) and it already has the previously posted database prefix fixes

edit: i swear this is the last edit! is anyone having problems deleting past orders that are stuck? For example.. i have a few orders back from August that I'd like deleted.. but the delete button doesn't work. Thanks!

I too am having problems deleting past orders but I am sorry, I don't know how to fix. Just thought that I would let you know that you're not the only one.

Any suggestions by other users would be great. Thx

Cheers Heavenlynights

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

I downloaded the Recover Cart mod and tried to upload the mysql patch. However the patch does not get uploaded, rather the browser opens it. I have no problem uploading other patches. That is not the problem. It seems to be between the patch and my database wanting to accept it. Is this anything that anyone else has experienced or knows how to fix?

Many thanks,

Matt

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

I looked closer and saw this warning in the text:

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '; CREATE TABLE scart ( scartid int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment

I am as new to mysql as you can get, any pointers would be appreciated.

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

firehorse:

Hi,

For everyone using prefixes, this is all the changes I made to get it to work

/admin/includes/extra_datafiles/recover_cart_filenames.php
Change

define('TABLE_SCART', 'scart');

>
> to
> ```
define('TABLE_SCART', DB_PREFIX . 'scart');
define('TABLE_ORDERS', DB_PREFIX . 'orders');

and in

/admin/recover_cart_sales.php

around line 265 change

$cquery = $db->Execute("select * from orders where customers_id = '" . $cid . "'" );

> to
> ```
$cquery = $db->Execute("select * from " . TABLE_ORDERS . " where customers_id = '" . $cid . "'" );

It now works for me.

Best regards
Alan

I deleted all files and database changes, reuploaded the mod, made the changes above, then uploaded the SQL, and it's still not working :( When I uploaded the SQL, it said this:

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '; CREATE TABLE scart ( scartid int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment, customers_id' at line 1

And then, in Tools-Recover Cart Sales, it says this:

1146 Table 'baby_newzen.zen_scart' doesn't exist
in:
[select cb.customers_id, cb.products_id, cb.customers_basket_quantity, cb.customers_basket_date_added, cus.customers_firstname, cus.customers_lastname, cus.customers_telephone, cus.customers_email_address, sc.datemodified from zen_customers_basket cb left join zen_customers cus on (cb.customers_id = cus.customers_id) left join zen_scart sc on (cb.customers_id = sc.customers_id) where cb.customers_basket_date_added >= '20061126' and cb.customers_id not in ('') order by cb.customers_id asc, cb.customers_basket_date_added desc]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I am stumped!

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

OK, when I was uploading the SQL patch I was doing it in my zen admin by uploading the file from my desktop. I just tried opening the sql file on my desktop using notepad, copying it all, and pasting it into the query box in my zen admin and it worked perfectly :D Yay!!!

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

OK, just two more questions ;)

In the e-mail that is sent to the customer, at the bottom, it has my name as the store owner and it is hyperlinked to my website. How do I remove the hyperlink?

Also at the bottom of that e-mail, it has the store URL, it shows http://www.babyplanetboutique.com/index.php?main_page=index. How can I make it just show as Baby Planet Boutique and have it hyperlinked to http://www.babyplanetboutique.com?

Thanks!

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

Hey, I donated a couple weeks ago .... but.. the stats on a_berezin's site don't reflect it. I guess my donation was to small to count ;)

Love the mod, and it has helped me trouble shoot my site based on feedback from my customers and has resulted in a couple recovered orders recently.

Thanks for a great mod.

Don't know if you ever fixed those, but the email defines are in admin/includes/languages/english/recover_cart_sales.php

Did anyone ever fix the Delete problem?

If anyone is working on this module, it would be good to have a way to manually turn the state of "uncontacted" into "contacted" working on the principle that a phone call is more likely to get a response than an e-mail.

(I'm sure Andrew could come up with those fixes in a matter of minutes! :D )

BTW - with the exception of the delete issue, this is working fine on 1.3.7

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

The delete problem mentioned in posts 85 and 85; I too have that in that nothing happens when the delete button is pressed (certainly on the admin>tools>recover carts - haven't tried it yet on admin>reports>recovered carts as waiting for someone else to view to save having to repeat the set-up).

And is there a way to display the Abandoned Carts with the most recent first?

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

To make the delete button work I added an "echo"

Changed (approx line 3xx recover_cart_sales.php)

              <!-- Delete Button //-->
              <td colspan='8' align='right'><a href="<?php zen_href_link(FILENAME_RECOVER_CART_SALES, 'action=delete&customer_id=' . $curcus . '&tdate=' . $tdate); ?>"><?php echo zen_image_button('button_delete.gif', IMAGE_DELETE); ?></a></td>

To:

              <!-- Delete Button  //-->
              <td colspan='8' align='right'><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_RECOVER_CART_SALES, 'action=delete&customer_id=' . $curcus . '&tdate=' . $tdate); ?>"><?php echo zen_image_button('button_delete.gif', IMAGE_DELETE); ?></a></td>

I also changed the sort on customers_id from "asc" to "desc".

And the stats_recover_cart_sales.php file reported an sql error on names containing a single quote. The error comes from: ```
OR o.customers_name like '" . $customer->fields['customers_firstname'] . ' ' . $customer->fields['customers_lastname'] . "')

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

the delete button works.. however it works in a weird way (just found this out a few days ago so there might be another way)

you have to delete from most recent to oldest in order to get rid of stuff. so if someone abandoned a cart today, and there are 4 abandoned carts on RCS, and you want to delete #2, you'll have to delete todays and the one before in order to delete #2

not sure if that fix above works for you or not.. i haven't tried it yet

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

Hmmm- not really much use as one is more likely to want to delete older ones first, but thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

Actually I am not sure about how I fixed it, but it works for me now. I attached my version of recover_cart_sales.php (so only one file of RCS). Maybe you can try it out to see if it works for you too.

(I did some other small edits to the file as well, so better backup....)

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

Ah - that fixed it. What it was is that there are two occurrences of the section of code where you added the "echo", but when I first looked, I found the one that was already correct. So, in an untouched original admin/recover_cart_sales.php, downloaded from Andrew's site, at around line 368 find ```

<!-- Delete Button //-->
          <td colspan='8' align='right'><a href="<?php zen_href_link(FILENAME_RECOVER_CART_SALES, 'action=delete&customer_id=' . $curcus . '&tdate=' . $tdate); ?>"><?php echo zen_image_button('button_delete.gif', IMAGE_DELETE); ?></a></td>

and replace with

<!-- Delete Button //-->
          <td colspan='8' align='right'><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_RECOVER_CART_SALES, 'action=delete&customer_id=' . $curcus . '&tdate=' . $tdate); ?>"><?php echo zen_image_button('button_delete.gif', IMAGE_DELETE); ?></a></td>

(The other occurrence is around line 508)

Thanks Paul ... now, if only someone could come up with that manual switch from "uncontacted" to "contacted" .... :wink2:

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

That works Andrew - but only on the last listed cart, regardless of sort order.

Re: Recover Cart [Support Thread]

RCS works with the customer, instead of with a cart. Use RCS_EMAIL_TTL parameter.
