im not seeing that on that page. Perhaps you got it figured out? It shouldn't show if u have it disabled in the Catalog->Product Types->Product - Free Shipping->Edit Layout

When you create a tab in admin/products using the code "<!--%Product Description%-->", the "Product Description" appears in the tab but is it possible to have the this in the main image itself?

The reason im asking is because the font i want to use is not supported so if possible i would like it to be in the image itself.

Im not sure I understand what you mean. You want words to appear in your main image? If you have a funky font that isn't supported you'd have to either make an image seperately or use that imagemagik stuff .. i think there is a button maker or something like that.

anyway, if you click on the link below, you will see two tabs (product info and recommendations). i want the font in this tab to be the same as in my sidebox header (categories, search etc) but since it is not supported, it does not work when i try to change it through html code. so if possible, i would like to create a tab with the words on it already and use that but im not sure how that would work.

I have the latest Tabbed v3.7 and Cross Sell v1.3.0 on zc v1.3.5

The tabs show correctly with the exception of cross sell items. To be sure the problem wasn't in cross sell, I have the related code included in the tpl_product_info_display file, supplied with tabbed.

The cross sell items appear because of the duplicate code (as a test) but do not show up as a tab.

I've checked the install instructions (BTW very good docs) and can find no errors.

Is this a known issue or perhaps have I missed something?

There was recently a new Cross Sell release put out. I have not tested with the new version. If you have the old version of cross sell, please link me here or in a PM to see the page so i can sift through the html source.

For Fixed tabs like that you would normally have to a different tab system.. or at least a completely redone css/js system. Tabbed Products Lite was designed to be dynamic via the use of text based tabs.

But, in one of my genius moments (:P), I allowed the tab tags to support HTML inside the tabs you could actually include <img src...> tags in the title.
So instead of

Now the last tab is probably more what you want. but of course you'd have to make transparent background images

Oh you mean it's not showing when that sale ends. That doesn't show up for me on any of my products even without the tab version of the file. I think that may be a question for the Zen-Cart team in "General Questions"

Currently, ordering them is not possible. The reason they show up correct on the first tab is because for that one I made a table to keep all of that stuff in line. But on the sub tags, they just go by the default order I've set in the code, which is just the default zen-cart way.

But it is simple to change it to the way you want it. To get the Attribs above the add to cart, edit the:

a tech sheet for a tab name? You can have any tabname you want by adding the tags to the product description area with <!--%Tech Sheet%-->

I also notice that on your site you probably need to run the other sql file included in the package called 3.6AlternativeForSqlProblems.sql

Regarding the database sql problems that some people are having.

If you goto Admin->Configuration->Tabbed Products Config and see only ONE option, then you must run the AlternativeSQL file that I included with the release to fix your problem.

I finally got smart and learned how to properly use mysql variables in queries (actually unbelievably simple). Now the SQL query coming in version 3.8 should work just fine. Previously, I was using the same query style that the TY Package Tracker used, which also gave me the same problem with giving only one admin configuration option, and the User Tracking contrib which used a hard coded gID for the Alternativesql file.

The first method used was the best dynamically because it was supposed to autoincrement the gID and use that same number to map the configurations to that gID. The problem is that last_insert_id() is a willy-nilly function that may or may not auto-increment itself with each run. I've seen it work fine on my server and then try again and it gives the "only one option in the tpl config screen" problem. So it was too unstable for perfect use. The Alternative method used a hard code of 888 for the gID, similarly how UserTracking used a hardcode of 999. if you were to ever install that many configurations tho, (not likely) you might have some overlap.

The new version adds the config group stuff first, and then gets that number and saves it to a mysql variable for the rest of the config options to ensure that even when the number is dynamically created, it is used to properly map the rest of the config options to the configuration group that it designated.

This sql patch will come with version 3.8.

Yes, read the readme file included for reference on how to do that. Also follow the example i posted above about that.

Hi Rob,

Well in earlier versions, I had all the tab stuff inside a custom tpl_product_info_display.php file, which was hell for people with lots of customizations.

Since v3.5, Ive smartened up and put everything tab-related into its own file. Now there are only a few changes needed to make the tabs work with an already custom tpl_products_info_display.php page, as documented in the "extras" folder included with the package.

There is one limit. The layout of the data, when displayed on the tabs is displayed using a clone of the zen-cart core design. It will still use the custom css values for your content, but for example if you have the add to cart button above the description on your custom template without tabs, if you enabled the Global Add To Cart on Tabs option, it will show the Add to cart button under the description. However, if you dont enable the add to cart button as a tab, it will go back to your setup of having the add to cart button above the tabs.

The parts of that page that aren't on tabs, will still default to your custom changes. This can vary based on how big the changes were. If you could link me to a page or send me a custom tpl_product_info_display.php file I could take a look at what custom needs there might be.
