I tried to modify the code myself so the status would be updated in the admin, but I broke the module. Changed back to original file again, I can't figure it out.

Absolute:

Anything is possible. You would need to adjust the TABLE_ORDERS to reflect the new status. The current status is already being set within the order comment update, however, it would need to be reflected in the main order table in order to show up within the admin.

Still would love this to be able to update the order status so we can see in admin if a customer has left a comment
