Ultimate SEO URLs

No problem to me. I don't think it's relevant to compare the seo modules anyway, each has its own appeals.

Anyhow, you can try but I don't think that setting is the cause of this. Maybe someone who uses the new version can give us more info. I remember visiting a site using ultimate seo which has the redirection works the way it should.

mafiasam:

(btw, by no means was I attempting to slam you or your mod. I was upset with attempting to install the Simple mod. I want to sincerely thank you for your contributions and assistance within the Zen Cart community.)

Does this have anything to do with this setting?

Yeah, I don't think that is the problem. I wasn't able to find another version of the contribution. If I can get those 3.1 beta files I can probably do a file comparison in WinMerge to see if there is any code difference in relation to this matter.

That version is somewhere in this long topic I think. Good luck with your find.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Hi,
I had an error in my zen cart site http://afro-masks.com/
Therefore I had to reinstall Zencart. I have also reinstalled ultimate SEO URLs. But now when I am on my homepage and I click on one of my categories or another link I get an error message.

Not Found

The requested URL /www.afro-masks.com/index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Believe me, I'm no expert in this, but did you clear your seo cache? When you get the error message, did you try reloading?

I got this message when I reinstalled myself. Honestly, I can't remember what I did :shocking: I'll re-post when I remember.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

It is possible your server is not up to par and configured correctly to allow such actions to be performed accurately.

I would check into the configuration, firewalls, and anything that would block it the request from going out, it also could be your zencart installation as well.

I'm wondering if this is what you were talking about

http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=423998&postcount=66

goodwrench1:

I took that version out and tried the 3.0beta per someone elses advice, and it seems to be working well.

Anything I should know about that version? I thought I saw two patches by other users, but I haven't gotten into any of that yet.

I suppose I should private message goodwrench and see where that gets me.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

I poked around a bit and I "Think" the BIN buttons on your pages are in fact a addon or customization. Since I have no idea what the changes may be I cannot really tell you how/where to correct it.

Ultimate SEO urls is functioning perfectly on your site with this exception with appears to have been customized in some way.

Thanks again , the BIN buttons were just a button set added.
Do you have an idea which file outputs the manufacturer's page.

Also in your most recent project , you have https://www.domain.com and domain.com pointing to same page . How did you do that, whenever I try to do it it breaks the ultimate seo url.

Thank you

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

NOTE: Replace /shop/ with the relative web path of your catalog in the "Rewrite Base" line below:

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /

From Ultimate SEO URLs

RewriteRule ^(.)-p-(.).html$ index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^(.)-c-(.).html$ index.php?main_page=index&cPath=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^(.)-m-([0-9]+).html$ index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^(.
)-pi-([0-9]+).html$ index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^(.)-pr-([0-9]+).html$ index.php?main_page=product_reviews&products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^(.
)-pri-([0-9]+).html$ index.php?main_page=product_reviews_info&products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]

For Open Operations Info Manager

RewriteRule ^(.*)-i-([0-9]+).html$ index.php?main_page=info_manager&pages_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]

For dreamscape's News & Articles Manager

RewriteRule ^news/?$ index.php?main_page=news&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^news/rss.xml$ index.php?main_page=news_rss&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^news/archive/?$ index.php?main_page=news_archive&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^news/([0-9]{4})-([0-9]{2})-([0-9]{2}).html$ index.php?main_page=news&date=$1-$2-$3&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^news/archive/([0-9]{4})-([0-9]{2}).html$ index.php?main_page=news_archive&date=$1-$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^news/(.)-a-([0-9]+)-comments.html$ index.php?main_page=news_comments&article_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
RewriteRule ^news/(.
)-a-([0-9]+).html$ index.php?main_page=news_article&article_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]

All other pages

Don't rewrite real files or directories

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*).html$ index.php?main_page=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]

#RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^morganhorse.co.uk$ [NC]
#RewriteRule .* http://www.morganhorse.co.uk/ [L,R=301]

That is the full htacess file , last 2 lines are added by me to see I can have https://www.domain.com and domain.com pointing to same place. As it did not work commented it out.
Thank you again
