Ultimate SEO URLs

Okay, many questions about ez-pages and Ultimate SEO URLs.
In the attachment there are two files which must uploaded:
.htaccess --> root
seo.url.php --> includes/classes

This will give the right seo-url for ez-pages.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Hi there,

I've just installed Ultimate SEO urls and all is working fine except I cant access Admin, I get redirected to customer login. The admin login appears and I can enter my admin details but I'm redirected. Anyone have any ideas. I've triple checked that all files are installed and that my .htaccess is correct.

Cheers

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Have a link?

Try with or without the www for your admin url and see if the other accesses it.

http://195.12.48.96/~walkontr/admin

It seems that whatever i put in as username/password takes me to customer login. There's no www as i'm on a test server directory.

You must close the url on the development url

Sorry, I was just doing a quick copy and paste and left out the trailing backslash:

http://195.12.48.96/~walkontr/admin/login.php

I can get to the login screen ok, but whatever I put in I get redirected to customer login and not admin login, e.g. I don't get an error saying incorrect password like I should.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Couple of things...

admin/includes/configure.php check the path to admin and the development urls for accuracy.

Next...

Check .htaccess in admin root for anything not included in the default Zen Cart file.

Lastly.... Check your base url in public_html htaccess that it is using the follow path to rewrite

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Use Simple SSU over this one.
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86353&page=232
Use the link from the publisher to download.

I used Ultimate and Simple but at this stage the Simple SSU is supported and developed actively. This one is not...

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

I would re-upload the files.... Remember you need both _zen_cart_folder_English & v138-specific-files.

Consideration autoload_func.php nor Class 'SEO_URL' are found in the installation.

Did you have another rewriting module installed previously or make modifications to autoload_func.php?

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

hi,
i tried copy the files from the said directories - 3 times, still no luck. I also tried uninstall and fresh install but again still no luck
I have uninstalled, removed all the directories/files and then installed which is now obviously working fine.
Thank goodness my site is not live so its easy to play around.
Cheers

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

after the new installation i thought I will install the USU once again.

I have copied the files are listed in the directory. This now no issue I can access the admin account.

I wonder if I goofed up in .htaccess file. What should i put in here /shop/. is it the domain name or something else?

  1. A sample .htaccess file is included. Simply rename to .htaccess and edit the word /shop/ to match your site

Thanks,
Harry

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

If your ZC is in the root then /shop/ should be /

If your ZC is in a folder caller store for example, then /shop/ becomes /store/

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

I'm having trouble grasping how to set this up.
The problem for me is Ultimate SEO came preloaded onto my Zen Cart shop.
It appears to work when I enable it, so you get the html page in the address bar page instead of php, but I get page cannot be found errors for all links - as if the .htaccess file is not working.

I have a .htaccess file in my root which I created myself a while ago to forward from 'domain.co.uk' to 'www.domain.co.uk' (this works).
I've tried removing this and then enabling Ultimate SEO but still no go.

Is Ultimate SEO suppose to create me a .htaccess file?
Can anyone see where I'm going wrong?

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

ok.. so far so good.

after carefully copying the files and checking after each copy in their respective directory I landed up with some errors

if I copy/overwrite the supplied file then I can't access the admin/login page (domainname.com/admin/login.php)

v138-specific-files\includes\functions
->html_output.php

should I copy/overwrite the .htaccess and assume /shop/ means the domain name(/domainname.com/)? please correct me if I am wrong.

Another thing is I can see the SEO URL in the configuration. What should I be looking or activate to use full path?

much much appreciate your help

Hope this not too confusing.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Ok I think I have almost got it.
I tink we both have a similar problem, not knowing what to put in the /shop/ part!

I found a .htaccess file by downloading the addon.
But the /shop/ part - I don't know what to put in there.
My root is : /home/funkimunki/mainwebsite_html - So the website and .htaccess is in the "mainwebsite_html" folder.
This works for redirecting domain.co.uk to www,domain.co.uk so I assume I have the right place.

However putting /mainwebsite_html/ in place of /shop/ still doesn't work - I just get pages not found.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs
