Ultimate SEO URLs

shocker:

Ok, I understand how this works now.
I think I'll uninstall it . I wanted something that I could control the URL created. The URLs by this mode are note intuitive enough.

Anyone using a better solution?

Just an idea: I thought I could create files that uses the meta tag refresh to another page say: http://nahidfashions.com/boutique/index.php?main_page=page_2

but this doesn't work. I don't have much experience with this so I may have to do some research.

I see your SEO work fine !?

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Yes it does work, but I don't like the way it works. I want to be able to define the URL myself.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Do everything backward ^^, remove anything you added. This mod also automatically install install database patch, so you need to remove that manually as well.

You will have to write your own mod to to that.

You'll need to follow the Installation Instructions, only this time deleting the files off the server along the way.

Any SQL that was ran on the DB and that doesn't have any auto-deletion scripts or an SQL deletion file included will need to be removed manually.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

thejov:

I am trying to get the ultimate seo url module to work on my website. I am using zen cart 1.3.7.1 and ultimate seo 2.105 with sql 5.0 and PHP 5.1.

The index page works great. However whenever I click on category I get a 404 error. The same happens when I click on any link on the index page.

If anyone wants to see the error in action you can go to http://officialebusinessonline.com/shop Right now I just have the demo store installed.

I am also having the same problem - even though i've got this plugin working fine on another Zen Cart install.

Any ideas? I've uploaded the files and .htaccess as normal.

Tried to visit the link and got a default GoDaddy landing page.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Shocker, several people already answered your questions already.

What do you want us to do? Take your hand and guide you step by step?

At least you should try to do what we already told you, and if u get stuck some where then post the error/problem and we will help.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

That mod automatically installs db on its own, so you have to turn it off in admin, remove all the files first, then remove db last.

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

Hello all,

I have some trouble with SEO after i upload source code from my PC to Host ! I edit all path, .htaccess and everything work fine with zen 138 (i update from 136 into 138 and test in my PC and upload into host to test again).

In home page , everything work fine. But after i click into any link , it will forward to /shop/install....

What is going on and how to fix this trouble? I check .htaccess and everything is correct like the first time.

Thanks you !

KIMSON

Re: Ultimate SEO URLs

I am having trouble with SEO URLs after upgrading to 1.3.8a
Some urls/pages work fine, but others are not written in the same format as previous (1.3.7)
For example:
http://www.primitivehomedecors.com/seasonal-decor-easter-decor-c-2_17.html

Category pages have urls with no visible parameters. The links to the product pages all have parameters in the urls though. The displayed link in the browser seems to be fine, but if you hover over the link to the product page, it shows all the variables.

Anybody else having similar issue? Has this already been resolved and I just can't find the post?

Forwarding to install folder is a default function of Zen. Check you configure.php files to ensure they're accurate for your upgrade.

There's a setting, something like a header redirect ... try turning that off. Can't remember off hand, as I haven't used the module in months.

Maybe Yellow can chime in.
