Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

When I attempt to run the SQL Tool I get the following messages

super_orders_sql.sql;
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'super_orders_sql.sql' at line 1
in:
[super_orders_sql.sql;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Can anyone let me know what I need to do here.

Thanks

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

hello all

I have one question to the edit total part, if i will give a customer a discount, it takes the discount and adds it to the total amount instead, have triad to add a - to the amount with no luck, also if i remove the discount i try to add, it adds the amount again and makes the total higher, how do i substract the discount from total?? se below:

Original:

Total products: 3.870Kr
Shipping : 69Kr
Tax 25.0%: 788Kr
Total Order : 3.939Kr
Amount payed: 0Kr
Payment due : 3.939Kr

New order with discount:

Total products: 3.870Kr
Discount : -200Kr
Shipping : 69Kr
Tax 25.0% : 788Kr
Total Order : 4.527Kr
Amount payed: 0Kr
Payment due : 4.527Kr

the same happens if i add the discount with or without a - infront of the amount, any ideas what i'm doing wrong or what could be wrong??

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

Fed Tax ID #HEADER_TAX_ID_NUMBER on Invoices.

Can any tell me how I get around this problem, I had some problems in SQL update but installed manually, I have the field in Super Orders Config. and filled it in with my TAX number(whichs saves my number OK) but I still have the problem. I see that it will give me None in the TAX class as it is not seeing this field?

Also I have tried to run the super_upgrade.php and I get this error page when I press the submit button?

Not Found

The requested URL /admin/super_upgrade.php was not found on this server.

Thanks
Andrew

If it's giving you trouble, don't use the SQL tool. Run the script from phpMyAdmin.

It should create a discount (negative value) by simply adding a minus symbol to the front of the number. So for a 10Kr discount, type "-10" into the number field.

However you're saying you already tried this, so I'm wondering if this is a currency issue (I thought I had all that stuff licked). Do you accept any other currencies you might test this theory with?

Andrew, I'm afraid you likely have an EBSAK error here. :wink2:

The HEADER_TAX_ID_NUMBER define is configured through the database, so it sounds like you did not properly run the SQL script.

You're getting the page not found error for super_upgrade.php because it sits in a separated folder, because not everyone will need it. Look for a folder named "_upgrade" in the download, you'll find the file in there. Just upload that to your admin folder and run. You only need to run this file if you were using the payment system in the old super orders, so make sure you actually need to run the file before doing so.

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

You're in luck, this was a quick fix (I hope). Open admin/includes/super_edit.php and find this block of text:

            elseif($ot_class == "ot_gv" || $ot_class == "ot_coupon" || $ot_class == "ot_group_pricing") {
              $running_total -= $ot_value;
            }

Create a new line directly after it (i.e. after the ending curly brace "}"), and add the following new block of code:

            elseif ($ot_value < 0) {
              $ot_value = abs($ot_value);
              $ot_class = "ot_coupon";
              $running_total -= $ot_value;
            }

Upload the file to your server and try another negative number. Remember that you can delete an order total entry by completely deleting the text and value from the order screen.

Hi BlindSide

That did not work, when i try to delete the entry, it adds the amount once more, and it does not change the tax, its the same ....
But i know now whats wrong, guess its my head again, i have total with tax and when i add a new line to the total, it take the total products -discount then add shipping and tax, thats why it gets wrong......

any idea how to change this??

Thanks for your reply BlindSide,

Andrew, I'm afraid you likely have an EBSAK error here.

The HEADER_TAX_ID_NUMBER define is configured through the database, so it sounds like you did not properly run the SQL script.

How do I fix it, it have run all the SQL inserts seperately via phpadmin and it told me if their was any errors or dupicate entries, which I have removed.

Everything else seems OK

P.S What does EBSAK stand for ?:wacko:

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

If you properly ran the SQL file and all of it went in fine, try running just the following line. It's the SQL for the Tax ID config:

INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function) VALUES (NULL, 'Federal Tax Exempt Number', 'FED_TAX_ID_NUMBER', '', 'If your tax exempt, then you should have a federal tax ID number. Enter the number here and the tax columns will not appear on the invoice. The number will also be displayed at the top of the invoice.<br /><br /><strong>If you do not have a tax exempt number, leave this field blank.</strong>', @so_gid_new, 50, now(), now(), NULL , NULL);

However I should warn that since this one config isn't in there, it's likely there are more problems elsewhere. The best thing to do is restore from your DB backup (you did back up right?) and run the SQL file "clean" from phpMyAdmin (it gives better error descriptions).

EBSAK is an acronym we tech support people use, stands for "**E**rror **B**etween **S**eat And **K**eyboard." Don't worry, I use it out of love; I have more "choice" words for the truly unintelligent. :wink2:

Re: OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

Hi,

I did a backup from within Zencart, using the Backup utility. I have just tried your suggestion and this is the error I get?

#1048 - Column 'configuration_group_id' cannot be null

I suppose because I did a backup this way it only backups the Data not the database fields!:no:

Hi BlindSide

After some more brain tweeking the problem is that my sub-total has tax included, thats why your module shows the total wrong, so i figured this problem to my problem not a SO problem, i think all i have to do is to get zen-cart to show sub-total without tax in admin, that way when i edit an order it will be correct, i just need to find the correct file to edit or setting to fix:) any hint?

So you're trying to restore from your backup? What backup utility are you using, the downloadable contrib? Something on your host's control panel? phpMyAdmin?

Whatever the answer, your question would be better posed to someone who's responsible for that utility. The error you have sounds like the backup set the configuration_group_id for reinserting configuration entries to NULL. I believe that's okay in the latest versions of MySQL (v5.x), but not earlier versions like v3.23. This is why I always recommend phpMyAdmin for all DB editing, it's smart enough to change syntax based on your server version.

Read the README file.

Well i triad that but it doesnt change the sub-total when i go to edit an order, looks like sub-total gets the total amount with tax, instead of without tax, is it possible to override this?? so sub-total gets the amount without tax allways?

Your two sentences directly conflict with one another... perhaps you can re-word so it is more clear:

looks like sub-total gets the total amount with tax> so sub-total gets the amount without tax allways?

sure, did type a bit to fast here i think, for where i'm standing it looks like sub-total in SO gets the amount with tax for some reason, and this might be becouse of some settings in my cart, but i would like to change this to sub-total with no tax.

this might have to be done in the code some where but my php skils are not at its best but still learning:)

did this help?
