Better Together can do subcategory to subcategory as long as both are parents of categories (not other subcategories). In other words, it does parent categories only. If you want to know about my other stuff, please email me directly.

• check the settings in admin/modules/order total for both to be sure they agree.
• check them without quick & easy checkout.

Still working on my(?) problem of wrong Order Total when using Better Together.

Have set up a test offline site based on Zcart 1.3.8a, and only Better Together added (no template either). 1. The admin setting for Better Together are set to "Include Tax = false" and "Recalculate Tax = Standard".
2. If I order either product alone, the total is correct.
3. If I order both items, the discount is shown correctly (100% of the second item), but the Order Total is wrong by $.25.
4. If I use a billing address with Sales Tax, the total is correct.
5. If I replace my database with the default database, the problem does not occur..

How could the database be causing the problem? Is there a debugger or emulator that I can run against to find the problem?
I can set up an admin and customer account if you want to look at it.

Thanks for your time and effort with this module and the patience in repsonding to the queries here.

I have a hopefully simple question. The way the language is worded does not sit right here.

At the moment the wording is "Buy A and get a B at 20% off" which you can play around with etc but in all cases the "20% off" reference comes after the product. This is most likely the American way of describing the discount.

I would love this to say " Buy product A and get 20% off product B"

I had a look in the define language and tried to move the "%s" around into define('BUY_THIS_ITEM', 'Special Offer Available: Buy this item and get %s off '); but it is literally displaying %s and not the acutal percentage as displayed if left in the define('OFF_STRING_PCT' line.

Is there a simple switch around that can move the order of these ?

PS I want to purchase the discount preview to go along with this. is it just a case of paypal transferring the $35 and dropping you an email or do you have a specific order mechanism.

These strings are built in fragments in get_discount_info() and get_reverse_discount_info() in includes/modules/order_total/ot_better_together.php.

No. Better Together is "buy 1 x, get 1 y at a discount"

or can you incoperate the better together deals onto the specials page?

Nothing is built in; you'd have to write software to do these things.

I have a unique problem. In an attempt to encourage the sale of my latest album, I've linked it to many different products. Now, the top of the item page for my CD is flooded with links. Is there some way I can just add a link that says "click to see which products are on sale with this item" on the CD page only, while keeping the other item pages normal, AKA "Buy this, get that"?

You'd have to write code; nothing is built in to do this.

First of all, swguy, I really love this mod. No problems with installing or getting it to function or making cosmetic changes.

However, out of curiousity, since you state earlier you were looking into this, how close are you to getting the images of the products to add to links? I tried looking into this myself but I'm apparently too lame to figure it out :frusty:, and if you're close to the answer already maybe I should sit tight.

My intention was to release it before the end of the second quarter. Worst comes to worst it will be in July.
