A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

<div id="homepage1"><?php echo '<img src="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . DIR_WS_TEMPLATE . 'images/Frog1.jpg" alt="Sawhorse Jewelry Designs :: Find your good horse" height="270" width="360" ></img>';?></div>

Again, I was hoping that the HTML editor would show my entire main page.
This is a HTML Editor and not a php editor...

php code is not processed in these HTML files only HTML code

Using the HTML editor find the icon in the menu bar for inserting an image and use it - providing the path to the image as you would for an HTML page

This only parses the code entered in the specific file and not the entire page.

There is not a good WYSISWYG editor for php or SSI type scripts that I am aware of

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

I would like to create additional buttons (so that the buttons of my add-ons would be the same as those of sage). Is there a "plain" button one can use/modify and any suggestion on the font used?
Thanks

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

Hi, I've been using a modification of this template for a little while with great success. Thanks for the awesome template koBra! :clap: Are there any known issues with using it with version 1.3.8a or are there any plans to update it for 1.3.8a?

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

Have a look http://(sorry, site offline)/138/index.php?main_page=index&template_dir=sage as I do not see any major issues as this is 1.3.8a and this is only meant as a place to begin I have no pressing plans to release an up grade. You could merge the style sheet to capture the few lines that have been added if you see issues.

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

If installed/copied correctly you will see it as a choice in admin > tools > template selection

Using FTP to view your host files/folders you should see a

includes/templates/sage - folder - if not you did not FTP this up correctly

the custom edited file "header.php" belongs in a folder created at

includes/languages/english/sage

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

Can I change the height of the logo/header area? Everytime I try, it either wipes out the nav bar with home & login, or you get a portion of the logo under and through tpo the main screen area... you can see the show through here: www.cutepatootboutique.com/store/

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

tootsiebelle,

Try adjusting the following stylesheet entry to 207px the same height as your logo

#logoWrapper {
    background-color: transparent;
    height: 144px;
	}

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

Ok, I have run into another snag (or just a stumbling block in truth)

I have added the Newsletter Subscribe contribution and I need to add the following code to tpl_header.php:

<?php // BEGIN newsletter_subscribe mod 1/1 if(defined('NEWSONLY_SUBSCRIPTION_ENABLED') && (NEWSONLY_SUBSCRIPTION_ENABLED=='true') && (NEWSONLY_SUBSCRIPTION_HEADER=='true')) { include(DIR_WS_MODULES . zen_get_module_directory(FILENAME_SUBSCRIBE_HEADER)); } // END newsletter_subscribe mod 1/1 ?>

Where the heck do I put this? Basically I want a link at the top nav bar to include a subscribe to newsletter... :frusty:

Thanks so much for sharing this template it has really made getting the base for my store a breeze.

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

tootsiebelle,

This module is really written for a "NEW" sidebox but if you want it in the header place it within the "logoWrapper" div and class forward I believe.

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

Kobra, I hope you're still reading this thread! I've been using sage for a while now. I've also read this entire thread and implemented your directions for centering the logo. Still, my logo will not center, no matter what I do. I even stood on my head in the corner, but it still insists on sitting where it is: strangely left-of-center. www.waterlily-naturals.com.

Did not see where you addressed your logo...
Seperate it out into it's own statement in the stylesheet and make it to resemble this

#logo {
        text-align: center;
        }

Re: A Different Zen Template or "Sage"

I cannto seem to upload the template sage at all. I read all the instructions ect ect. I have built 5 different zen sites prior but for some reason this particular template wont upload.

I ftp'd into root, nothing. I then ftp'd into template, i tried the godaddy cpanel zipped, then unarchived no luck at all. I wish I hadent wasted 2 and 1/2 hours on this now. I thought the template looked nice so I gave it a shot but clearly the correct upload instructions are nowhere to be found online.
