looks like everyone got problems with this mod

i think its too risky to install

and not even working propely

Got this error:

We don't accept non-numeric values, zero (0), or negative prices. If you are including the currency code or symbol, please make sure it matches the currency of the target country.

Can someone help guide me to set up my Google Base feeder to update and upload automatically? I see the note in the Admin panel that says to set up a cron job via the host control panel, but I don't know what that means at all. Would you point me in the right direction? Thank you!

If your hosting has cPanel you can set up a cron job by clicking the Cron Job icon, selecting a time (once per day, month, etc) and entering ```
wget http://www.yourdomain.com/googlefroogle.php?feed=fy_uy_tp

or if there's no select time options enter

0 5 * * * wget http://www.yourdomain.com/googlefroogle.php?feed=fy_uy_tp

which is for 5:00 am.

You may need to edit your php.ini file to allow a longer execution time/file size limit. Ask your host if you don't know how to do this.

Having a real different time with multiple zones and international shipping.

Does anyone have a solution??

Hello Everyone,

I am using the latest Google Feeder. I am also using Zen 1.3.9f, there are alot of people who seem to be having an issue with uploading their feeds due to XML Parse Errors. The solution that I am using for this is Three Fold:

#1 I create the feed and download it and run it through MS Excel to find out what line number has the issue.

#2 I create a download of the my store using Easy Populate so that I can get to the the specific product that needs to be changed.

#3 I use NotePad ++ to locate the product by the Line Number's Error.

I admit that this is very time consuming, but if you have over 100 products its alot easier than trying to just look through each description looking for a bad character or whatever. At least with NotePad ++ you can get the specific product description that is causing the error and correct it a little quicker.

I hope this helps someone out there who is having a similar problem.:smile:

franekz: you may need to change the file permission to 777 on

/home/sites/pasikonik.co.uk/public_html/feed/google/domain_products.xml

(feeds folder is recommended to be 777)

I am using the latest version of Google Base feeder with Zen Cart v 1.3.9d and operated manually all is OK. Unfortunately set up as cron job the products feed does not work but results in a "Page not found" page yet the documents feed functions correctly. I have vainly searched extensively online for a solution. Any suggestions?

Google is complaining of an XML error on like 200,000 (not the exacty line but it's in the 200,000 range..

The store contains almost 40000 products... but the XML file never reaches 200000 lines....

Google accepts about 14000 of the products, but no where near all of them.

anyone having any similar issues?

Turn on the debug in admin/configuration/Google_Base_Feeder_Configuration and see what it tell you.

I solved the problem, I apologies , I meant to post it..... it appears to be a problem with the server not having a enough time to process the file.

I increased my servers max execution time and haven't had a problem since.

That was going to be my next suggestion to you.

If your script is timing out, in the root of your server (not store root), create/open a file called php.ini and add the following lines: or go to your database and increase

max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 90
memory_limit = 32M

will the current Google Feed files also work with submitting to BING data feed ?

Reinstalled GBF and it worked without a hitch.....which meant I knew something wasn't gonna work on the flip side, Google. I couldn't seem to get it to upload from my cart which is no biggie since Google will fetch it on their end. I kept getting an error about the value cannot be set at 0, or something similar. So I played around with the configuration. Even though the GBF was set to show no quantities, Google would not accept it. It would actually show it as zero. So I turned on the show quantities attribute and added 1 as the number to show. Worked...no problemo...at least for that part.

Now I'm having problems with unacceptable words/characters in my product titles and descriptions. I thought it was gonna be easy to find. Not so much. The dashes, parenthesis, commas, etc were removed from the listed products....even though this is the same feed I used earlier this year and it worked without fail. So the next thing was words. Descriptions of a product....some were the actual names of the product....and Google won't allow it.

I have a partial list of the words not allowed and what it was used for in my listings:
Charity....no idea on this one
S.e..x...y.......lettering on said product
Liquor.....flavor
Liqueur......flavor
PentHouse.....which was a brand not the mag
Cigar.........like a cigar box shape
Tobacco....part of a brand name fragrance description
Rum........flavor and scent
Bourbon.....flavor and scent
Arouse.......massage oil description
Flame, burn......candles (Not sure which of the words is the trigger)
Bible....not sure if this is the word but I removed it and the item loaded......used in game description

Some of the words I get...others...uh NO!!

Anyone have a list of words Google won't allow in feeds? I looked for it on their site but so far, nothing.

Sensual
Pagan.....not sure, it's in the description with Bible
Apostles.....not sure, it's in the description with Bible
Churches...not sure, it's in the description with Bible
Seductive.....referring to food not humans...like chocolate

Is there an addon for removing or highlighting questionable words/wording? It sure would be better than having to go through each listing manually, especially when you have thousands of products to list.

More words...these are a given since they only allow these in the adult store option:
Kama Sutra....massage oils
Tantric....massage oils

Too bad they don't allow you to upload different categories to different options. Some could be adult based others family.
