FCKeditor 2.4.3 - Content Editor addon for Zen Cart

Ok I have an older version of this MOD possibly 2.43 (my harddrive and backups died a while ago), and it works fine apart from 2 problems

  1. It doesn't seem to appear i the newsletters section, when i go to newsletters FCKeditor is selected however the editor never shows up

  2. the following error appears in my stats
    /shop/editors/fckeditor/editor/includes/templates/template_default/jscript/jscript_imagehover.js
    page not found

I'm not to worried about the second error, however the first one is a bigger problem

Newsletter page was fixed in 1.3.8a, and there's a fix for previous versions in this thread I believe ... The second error is an Image Handler file your missing.

Re: FCKeditor 2.4.3 - Content Editor addon for Zen Cart

Is this mod not a possibility in 1.3.5? I have a stubborn client who doesn't want to upgrade right now but does want this mod. I gave it a shot but the option to choose FCKeditor doesn't show up in the MYSTORE admin area...

Nevermind! In 1.3.5 there is no toggle to turn it on under MYSTORE than I can find, but I can choose it from define pages editor area and once I use it there it shows up for use under product pages as well!

Re: FCKeditor 2.4.3 - Content Editor addon for Zen Cart

Hi All,

I have just installed fck editor and having a problem with image uploading:

when I browse the local drive and upload the image to the server, it gives me the message "successfully uploaded", but the image is not there. I have checked and all the dirs are chmod 777

Any ideas of what is wrong here?

Also, when browsing the server for images, it shows no images at all. I guess it should point to /myfiles/image?

Ok, I've added FCKeditor to a clients site of ours and I get the following message when I try uploading an image:

"Error creating folder xx/xx/xx/myfiles - Permission denied"

What on earth does this mean?

Thanks..

Your using the FCKeditor 2.5 correct?

You'll need to navigate to the file it's asking for and specify an absolute path.

Example:

www.yoursitename.com/myfiles

Would need to be something like this:

/home/html/usersite/catalog/myfiles

Sounds like you may have touched an incorrect file.

We've updated FCKeditor for Zen Cart to the most recent version of FCK.

Re: FCKeditor 2.4.3 - Content Editor addon for Zen Cart

Just upgraded to V2.6 on ZCV1.3.8 using PHP 5.2.6 and I am seeing this error in the log:

File does not exist: /public_html/App_Themes, referer: http://www.clevershoppers.com/editors/fckeditor/editor/fckeditor.html?InstanceName=products_description[1]&Toolbar=Default

Any ideas why this is looking for App_Themes in root folder?

Thanks!

No clue, I'll look into it. Which browser are you using? Does the error happen in another browser?

Nope, it's like 3 or 4 deep (htdocs/clients/this_client).

This thing is a godsend though, just gotta get this part working :)

Oh yeah, I did CHMOD it too hehe.

Have you upgraded to the newer 2.6 version available on iChoze?

Re: FCKeditor 2.4.3 - Content Editor addon for Zen Cart

Hello!

Have installed the new 2.6 on a site which I'd trialled 2.5 earlier and the new version works nicely. Like the popup-layer, looks great. The new version even took care of an upload-conflict I'd run into for one of the sites.

I've read through this thread to find some more info about potential security issues relating to the filemanager. One of the main reasons we're using FCKeditor rather than HTMLeditor is so that we can upload images from the editor. I've not found much information about how to make the module more secure and wonder what can/should be done.

We've changed the sub-folders of "myfiles" to 777, apart from that, everything is left as it was uploaded. But I've read posts about integrating FCK with various CMSs and was wondering if it's a security risk that one can for example reach a file like this:

..URL.. /editors/fckeditor/editor/filemanager/browser/default/browser.html?Type=images&Connector=connectors/php/connector.php

directly? It seemed like someone on a Joomla-integration got hacked that way. I've read references about securing folders with .htaccess files, but not quite sure where and how it would impact on things.

Any more info on making the image upload function as secure as possible would be much appreciated!
