USPS does not work for me "We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable..."

Today I got the following debug logs(with USPS logs enabled):

(Folder names in bold changed for this post)

I may have fixed the module.php error. I replace it with another module.php and am not getting the debug logs shown above, at least for now.
I am still getting the following usps debug logs:
1. When I add item to cart:

As an experiment, I renamed module.php to module_bak.php, then added an earlier version of module.php.
Now, I am not getting the debug error. I can go back to the updated version if you think I should.

Here is the latest!
I have restored the original 1.5.0 modules.php file
And, as suggested by Ajeh, I uninstalled the USPS module
Testing the cart without the USPS module, I am getting no debug errors.
Also, the UPS module appears to be working correctly, whether as a Guest, or with a Registered Account.
Hopefully, we are narrowing down the possibilities.
If the UPS module is working correctly, does that mean there is not a port issue?

Now, I will reinstall the USPS module and check the debug logs again.

As far as I know, the USPS module uses the same port as the UPS module uses: the very basic standard always-available port 80.

Please go to your Modules ... Shipping ... and click on USPS ...

Click on REMOVE ...**After removing I tested the cart and it does not generate any Debug logs. Cart and UPS appears to work correctly

Yes, it appears to be consistently empty

Most bizarre. Unsure why it's only your site and not tens of thousands of other merchants having the same problem.

Well, if both you and Ajeh are puzzled, then my situation is downright hopeless. Way beyond my expertise, which isn't much.
I would really like to be able to use the USPS module, but may have to forget it and use zone rates.
I still have my fingers crossed that you guys come up with a solution before you waste too much time on me.

What is odd about your site, is I have tested it on and off today and notice that right now ... both USPS and UPS are not working ...

Could you contact your hosting provider and ask them to check if there are issues with your site on the ports both incoming and outgoing for port 80 or anything else they might see that is stopping you from communicating with USPS and UPS?

Also, could you do a view on your server copy of the file:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

and just for grins and giggles paste it here, to ensure that there are no changes to the code ...

When I pasted usps.php forum said it was too long. About twice as long as permitted

First time I have attached a file to this forum. Hope it works.

Also, I contacted my webhost and ports are fine. They spent quite awhile looking for something and everything looked okay on their end. Directed me back to possibly Zen Cart software or USPS API setup.

IXWebhosting told me they were sure that Port 80 was fine. They said if it wasn't they wouldn't even be able to see my site. They told me to ask you if it was a port other than 80. They couldn't find anything wrong. They said if you found something that was required on their end let them know and they would try to help. Seems everyone is wondering about this. Just my luck that I am the only one with this problem.

I am wondering if a clean install of 1.5.1 would cure the problem. I sure would hate to go to all the trouble of a clean install only to find it still did not work.

Could you look at your debug logs and give the file:
myDEBUG-1349990594-290815.log

to your hosting company to see the errors that are generated trying to contact USPS (first 3 lines) and UPS (4th line) and see if they can see anything based on that ...

That was the first thing they asked for when I talked to them. I emailed them and they looked at them. They do not think the problem is on their end.

CORRECTION: I have not seen that one before. I will contact them and send it to them and get back to you with their response.
