Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

Hi,
Thanks for the great template...when I add "Attributes" to a product, the left column is getting pushed down. Please help. You can see the problem in action at the following link.

Note: I have installed the mod "Tabbed Pro" (latest beta version 1.5) on this template, do not know whether it has anything to do with this...

http://www.herbalbazar.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6_7&products_id=6

Thanks,
PM.

It probably is the tabbed pro mod. Try reducing the width of
#slidetabsmenu

to less than 100% in the tabs stylesheet.

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

I observed that it works fine on IE7, but not on IE6. So I do think that it has to do with the Tabbd-pro only, so I am moving this post to "Tabbed Pro" thead...

Thanks for your help and the template.

Im having trouble using the cherry zen template together with your CSS flyout header 1.5

All i seem to get is the header displayed and first 3 boxes (missing some of the contents) everything after the drop down menu doesn’t display.

Im working on the site all day today, if you could drop me a line i can show you what i mean.

Thanks Mrfixit

You probably don't have all the files uploaded. Confirm they are all in their right places, in the right template folders.

Did you upload includes/classes/categories_ul_generator.php? Again confirm that all files are uploaded and are in their correct spots.

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

Hi to all you Cherry zenners.
Please forgive me my useless computer skills, but I am very new and confused.
I have downloaded zen, and am working through my manual. I have started the override system but seem to be making a mess of things. So I have looked at the downloadable templates and - WOW - here I am.
-Where do I download the cherry file to, the override file?
-Can I alter the colours even further than what is on offer without making a mess of things?
With thanks in advance.

Don't forget to read the readme file, as it has a lot of helpful info.

You're going to need to upload the includes folder inside the cherry zen download file, into the main includes folder of your store.

You should download a free FTP program if you haven't already. Then you can upload the includes/ folder, and it will put all the files in the correct places.

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

Maybe I am missing a preference in the Admin, but I would like to remove the Featured Products listing from the body of my main page. How would I do this?

Thanks.

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

Hi, brilliant template. It looks great. But I have one question:

I have been looking through the thread and I found your instructions for making the product description appear to the right of the image, but mine isn't quite right.

I moved the productdescription block so it looks like this: http://www.theyateleyforums.com/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=78&products_id=190

but I would like it to use the full width of the page and to wrap around the image. How do I achieve this?

Sorry that it is the same old question that you have seen lots of times before, but I'm almost there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Well, that will take some adjustment. My suggestion is that you simply float ONLY the left image. Then the text will wrap around that. Then I would suggest having the Tell a Friend and contact below that.

This isn't a simple change this or that in the css. It will take some adjustment.

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

OK thank you for the quick reply. I'll keep trying and perhaps ask someone at work for some CSS help as it isn't really a Cherry Zen problem.

If I make money off my site I'll donate!

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

Hi All,

Can the left and right columns be expanded up into the header on the cherry zen template?

Thanks!

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

I've tried to find an answer on a question that's been bothering me but was unable locate any.
Why did you use images for left and right column background and put them in contentMainWrapper instead of using CSS in #navColumnOne or #navColumnOneWrapper for example?
I'd appreciate your comments on why did you choose to do it the way it is...
Thanks

The biggest reason is so that the grey background for the sidebox goes all the way down to the bottom of the page. If I did it for the side boxes only, the background color would only go as far as the content within the sidebox.

Re: Cherry Zen Template Support Thread

Hi Jade,
I Decided against the ccs dropdown for now, though i do have a question about this template of yours.

Up along the top, just below the logo, there is a nav bar which came up when i created some categories. (where the ezPages used to be). I would like this bar to be in the same colour as all of the caregory and box headings, but i cant seem to find it anywhere in the style sheets or any other file.

The site is https://www.tbsm.com.au .
Thank you..
Liam.
