Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

When i install this mod in my test site the mod works fine in both IE and Firefox test site can bee seen here https://www.lextechs.com/Testsite

However when i install the mod in the live site it works fine in fire fox but i get this error in IE. See attached screen shot

that is some good information however i am not programmer so i wouldn't even know where to start looking, however i have read in he forum that there might be a conflict with Javascripts i am just not sure which script it's conflicting with and i don't want to do testing on my live site to find out, i will test keep on testing and see what i come with, thanks for the help

I seem to remember having a similar issue, although it was some time ago so I can't remember specifics. Take a look at includes/modules/pages/product_info/ and confirm that there aren't two of the same jscripts. I think having two was creating a conflict for some people in IE. If there are two the same, get rid of one. Probably safest to delete one and over-write the other with the Faul Slimbox jscript.

I have installed fual slimbox successfully and think it is a great mod. The trouble I am having is it is not displaying the addittional images in the lightbox. It just loads the mod and shows the loading animation and nothing happens. The error message I get is ("null" is null or is not an object). Line 1 character 1.

I only have it setup on one product for now until I can fix this. The product page link is http://store.speechlesstees.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=7

I also have tabbed products pro mod installed. Select the addittional images tab and select an image to see the error.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I found the problem is not the mod itself, but the where you upload the additional images and how you name them.

For example, my main image is named productxyz.jpg and loaded into the /images directory. The additional images are named productxyz_colorA_LRG, productxyz_colorB_LRG, productxyz_colorC_LRG, and uploaded into the images/large directory.

By doing this the slimbox mod works perfectly. Thanks for the great mod.

These are the file i have in my product info folder jscript_main.php,jscript_slimbox.php,jscript_textarea_counter.js Thanks for you help but i have just turned of the feature, i can't understand why it works on the test site but not the live they are both set up exactly just for this reason

It works fine, shows the main product image and such, but...
no additional images?

I dont have image handler or lightbox installed, I use ZC 1.3.8 with template_default (we dont need extra template, just one language, one template, easy... (I thought, but maybe thats the problem?)), the only other add-on installed is Testimonials Manager...
Quite fresh installation, installed it at the end of june...

I tried everything, putting several images (named with the rules for imagehandling) in all directories (images, images/large), but no additional images on products page (all products use products_music) or in Fual Slimbox...

No javascript errors, basically works fine, only additional images are missing...

Did I miss something?
(If you need a link to the site, pm me with your current IP, site is set down for maintenance, cause it already resides in the place it should stay when going live)

First of all thanks for this great mod!!

I Followed your documentation, installation was smooth and everything worked fine.
But when the mouse is over an image it shows text with wrong codepage.

I changed the character set to @charset "iso-8859-7"; (codepage for Greek) in stylesheet_slimbox_ex.css but the problem still remains.

Any suggestions?

Changing htmlentities to strip_tags works for me (iso-8859-2)
htmlentities not support iso-8859-7.

Hey, that's no problem. Someone else had a similar issue a while ago and I went through the javascript in slimbox line by line to make sure that it wasn't doing an early DOM close, so I definitely know it isn't a slimbox issue (although he refused to accept this and expected me to magically fix some unmaintained and rather complicated script for him, which was why I stopped coming to this forum). The problem is caused by another mod inadvertently closing the DOM early and then slimbox needs to write to it (=kaboom).

Basically it's an IE bug that has been around for nearly 10(?) years now, since IE 5.5.
I know this topic is a bit out of date but I can't find anywhere in the forums where it is addressed. Does anyone know how to make slimbox work with attribute images? We'd really like to add that feature to our webstore.

they seem to serve the same function, so what are their differences in terms of the effects shown to buyers and admin control?

I'm not sure if I have to turn anything off or on, but when I click on the larger image, I get a javascript popup that mirrors the original product page;

I'm using the Fual Slimbox in a German Zen-Cart 1.3.8 which is completely utf-8 encoded.
I have noticed that the German umlauts are not shown correctly in the product name in the Slimbox.
For example an ü is shown as ü
If there are additional images for the product in the next Slimbox screen the umlaut is fine!
Any ideas where to fix that?

Thanks for the great add-on. It solved many problems I had with Lightbox. I've noticed something that I'm not sure is normal or not. When I click on an image in my site for the first time (after main product page has loaded) all the transitions and fade-outs show properly, but if I close the slimbox image and click again on the main product image it just pops up really quickly. Have I installed slimbox properly?

You're right, they do perform the same function, but the slimbox code is written much more efficiently. The javascript for it is only 30kb in size vs. 100kb for lightbox. It also seems to solve some of the problems that other users were having with lightbox.

Think of it as being the "New and Much Improved" version of lightbox.

I've also noticed another issue/bug that seems to occur if a user hits their browser's back button to go back to a product page. The image disappears and the user must refresh the page to bring the image back. It seems to only manifest itself under Firefox 3.0.1. I wasn't able to get it to act up in IE7.

Can someone verify this?
