Why do yahoo emails cause problems

Ok this is just :frusty: arrrgggg! Still not working.

And I did a test and I'm able to send to other brinkster customers but so far I have not found a none brinkster customer that I can send to.

Should I open a new thread?

I did to, and my mind got to turning. It hit me that my ther test e-mail accounts are to my parents e-mail adresses and they are all hosted by Brinkster... so I decided to try a friend of mines e-mail that is through her internet provider and I got the same error i'm getting for yahoo.

("none" should have been "non")

Where are you sending these from?

Inside of Zen Cart or from your local email client?

I have been going through the trouble shooting link (http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/Troubleshoot_-_Email_Problems)

I installed the e-mail archive feature and it is sending them and according to this excerpt from the above link it is hightly probable that the issue is with my mail server.

11. Try enabling Email Archiving. Then grab the email archive reader from the Zen Cart™ Downloads section (in admin tools), and confirm that the emails are actually being sent from Zen Cart™. If it's in the archive, it was handed off to the mailserver. Once the email leaves Zen Cart™, it's at the mercy of your mailserver.

However, I was able to set up outlook on this computer and send and recieve all emails using my connection into the brinkster mail server. The only change from the norm was the port I had to use.

There is one difference between how I had to set up outlook adn how Zen-cart seems to be set up.

With outlook they said I had to set up a password to connected to the e-mail address that is sending the e-mail. I don't see that in Zen-cart and not sure if it even matters because Outlook is different because it sits on the outside of the host's server.

This is from Brinkster's FAQ

Brinkster has implemented the mandatory use of Server Authentication when sending email messages through the mail servers. This authentication has been implemented due to security reasons and in order to combat spam usage of the mail servers.

They have sample code for ASP.Net code on how to send it but so far I see nothing for PHP. But that does not realy explain why it sends to other brinkster accounts and does not send to non-brinkster accounts.

It should have been set up with "smtpauth" not just "smtp".... gahh

Well at least it's working now and I'm feeling very bubble headed.

Kobra, that setting is not only not-used in v1.3, it was removed from view in 1.3.8.

Demo site and I will install clean next round so I have most current
