Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

I have Simple SEO running after a lot of reading in this thread but I cannot solve my ( last ) Simple SEO issue with the Alias Functions.

If it is turned on in admin->configuration->simple SEO and when I go to Alias Functions- Manage Aliases: " Click here " and I click, nothing is happening.

Also I do not have the Add button to add a alias rule?

Does anyone know what the cause is of this?

The shop ( https://www.bestlooks.nl) is running with zen cart v 1.3.9h, module manager 3.8.5 and Simple SEO "yellow1912-simple-seo-url-95940c2" is installed.

Go back and make sure all file uploaded to there proper locations. Sounds like they didn't.

thanks for your quick response.

I checked several times and everything is in there proper place but what not original is that my shop language is Dutch, so I copied the English language file into my Dutch folder.
( admin->includes->language->dutch)

I have no idea if this is the reason for the missing alias add button ( it could be ) and if so how to change the file.

We've installed the mod, and most of the time it works well. However, sometimes we have a link that ends up looking like this:

I looked up %5C and it's the escape code for a . Any ideas what might be causing this? If we rebuild the cache, it works just fine until another one pops up.

Can anyone tell me how to get the manufacturers category to work with SSU. When you choose a manufacturer it happily displays all the items belonging to that manufacturer but if you click on an individual item it cannot find the page. Website is http://corset.ie

Just sorted this myself. Added manufacturers_id to the Set Querys keys exclude list in Configuration - Simple SEO URL and it worked.

Here's my shop http://www.playourmusic.net/

I have a problem on the contact_us page and the cart page.

On these pages the back button and the "Continue Shopping" button both 404

They both take me to the hompage when SSU is disabled.

Can anyone help?

Thought i would bring my post here, as i have been tols it is the SEO mod i have installed on Zen 1.3.9h
Seems my "Back" buttons on my website still do not "go back" to the previous page. Instead it goes to here:

http://www.cakekraft.co.uk/index.php...page_not_found

This happens on all of my pages that have a back button.

Any help on how to get the back button to actually go back to the previous page please?
I have tried to turn of SEO but it has no effect.

This is probably something basic, have uploaded all files, followed instructions exactly, but when I go to admin/extras/ssu manager it brings up a blank page.

Module manager is probably not properly installed. Had the same error and reinstalled module manager and it worked fine after.

Hi, after activated SEO URL - "Reset" button for Manufacturer list stopped working. If I click on it - it show 404 error - page not found.

Please, advise..

In admin when I click on extras- Simple seo URL manager I get http 500 error.

ok I got it working after uploading module manager 16.

But now there are no category separator setting in Configuration/simple seo.

How do I get the category separator field option?

I have a weird problem.
All the time SSU was working,but i just created a new category and the category ID is on the end of the url,that wasn't before.
But if I create a subcategory there is no category on the end of the link :(
What can be wrong,I think that I did not change anything so this is weird I think :wacko:

Is there a setting that I am missing to get my catagory names to show up instead of showing mydomain.com/category-c-196_200_209

I am a complete beginner at this. I have just installed a brand new Zen Cart 1.3.9h on my Windows XP PC running Wampserver with PHP 5.3.5, Apache 2.2.17 and MySQL 5.5.8. I have installed Module Manager and then SSU 3.5.8.

I found an error in the DB setup code, and had to change "TYPE" to "ENGINE" in 6.php and 17.php to get SSU to set up. (TYPE="MyISAM" bit)

SSU now creates beautiful URLs, but all of them lead to the home page. For example, http://tafs-dc/grobag/gro-bag/sleeping-bag (or any other url) goes to http://tafs-dc/grobag.

TAFS-DC is on my PC, not publicly accessible.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong, or where I should look?

Set max category level 4
Set Link Alias Status true
Set minimum word length 0
Set maximum name length 0
Set SSU Status true
Set SSU Multi Language Status false
Set Auto Alias Status true
Set Category Separator /
Hide default language identifier true

i have 3 language Italian/english/french its work fine for every page, home page, ez page, subcategories but if i try to switch the language when i display a product give me an error.... why??

here example:

if you try to switch the language from this page you have an error... dont find the product because in the url use the "language" .... someone can help me?

i found the error... but i dont know how to fix..

usually when i change language in the category the url is

/category/language/it and is working

but if i'm inside the product the link when i change the language is:

/language/it/category/product

so the problem is that put language/it before instead after, and so cant find the url and give me error ... how can i solve this ?
