Dude how do i add an exclude to simple seo url
Zen Follower
HI
Sorry for the late reply I was out of the country for a while.
ok my wifes gallery sits on page 3 of the more pages link, so in seo, I have excluded that page from the seo pages list.
Looks like this now

You need to remove the page you are using, basically SEO will not work for the gallery when integrated into a page of Zencart so the gallery will either not display or not work properly

Right i have done that . The gallery shows but when i click on a picture this happens :-
Warning: opendir(gallery/albums/JGALL_IMG) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /homepages/1/d125045992/htdocs/gallery/functions.inc.php on line 27
Fatal error: Could not read directory: 'gallery/albums/JGALL_IMG'.

I had this mod working at one point and all of a sudden it stopped - no idea why. Tried to fix it but nothing worked. Just downloaded the newer version...and I cannot get it to work....I know it is incredibly simple and maybe I am just exhausted....but can anyone help?
Here is a link to the page:
http://www.andrealevinedesigns.com/?main_page=page_2
I have it setup to gallery/albums
Images will sit right in there...I do have an image uploaded but it is not showing in the page as you can see....
I have this in my define pages:
<?php $G_JGALL['inc_path'] = 'gallery/'; include($G_JGALL['inc_path'] . 'index.php'); ?>I have taken care of the SEO issue via the .htaccess
What am I missing?!?!?
THANK YOU!!!!

hi all
firstly sorry I have not been in touch sooner, my main system monitor at home died (a dell of course) and started a new role in fibre optics which takes me about a bit, have to remote control my main system with a laptop.
anyway
I think, for ease, if you have issues with the jgallery, often its best to follow these rules or guidelines
If you are getting errors related to footers, or any other page within the zencart system then the cause is likelynot to be the gallery since it does not make any changes to any system files at all.
If after this you are either stumped or are just not technical enough to work on it, the best thing you can do is pm me with ftp access to your website.
Sure there is an element of trust here, but I cannot offer much more than that. It is entirely upto you to trust,me, though if needed I am happy to give out references of sites I have built, where access to private information and accounts was given no question.
As long as paths are correct then it should all work without a hitch, but I know how frustrating it can get.

Sorry I see you found an alternative to use, probably because I neglected to respond fast enough, no problem hope its working well for you :-)

Can you show me the code you pasted into the page please, the gallery itself is working without xzencart, have checked this already.
The code entered should be as follows (assuming your shop is in the root of the site and not in a sub folder that is)
<?php
$G_JGALL['inc_path'] = 'gallery/';
include($G_JGALL['inc_path'] . 'index.php');
?>

Hey all
Just to be very clear on a few things here.
Jgallery is a gallery that wil run with or without Zencart. All I have done is add a few extra utilities that let you manage the files in the gallery from within zencart.
The integration of the galery is not something that intertwines itself into the zencart functions or system files, it is simply a few small lines of code that call on the gallery location and display the gallery index file within a page defined by you in zencart.
Instaling this addon does NOT...
What it does do is...
I am only pointing this out because many of you find issues like footer errors, ref customerid, or queryfactry stuff, or sideboxes that are problematic.
Things to bear in mind with regards the sideboxes, and any issues you could have with the gallery installed.
The gallery uses a css stylesheet to define its width, if the width of the gallery is wider than your main window then you may have issues, so you will need to either alter the gallery css or alter your template to accommodate.
Most important of all The original developer of Jgallery can only offer support if the gallery does not function properly outside of zencart, for example, your domain name and site is https://www.mysite.com so the gallery is https://www.mysite.com/gallery
If that works, they your problem is not the gallery but the module, if that does not work then you could go to him for support, however that said you are always best to try here first as I may have come accross the issue already and it will save you time.
Hope this clears up a few things.

Hi there it still aint working. I have ssu installed and i have excluded page_4.

Please help

This is a path issue only I cant for the life of me remember where it is.
If you look at the address you have posted.
http://fishingtackleoxford.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page_4
Thats working
The link to the images, when clicked on takes you to this address
http://fishingtackleoxford.co.uk/?main_page=page_4&JGALL_DIR=&JGALL_IMG=DSC_0232.JPG
Which will not work because its missing the index.php portion.
The link should look like this
http://fishingtackleoxford.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page_4&JGALL_DIR=&JGALL_IMG=DSC_0232.JPG

OK, I really like the jGallery, but I am having a couple issues.
I really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks...

I like this mod, just a few issues that I need help with. I looked everywhere before I posted here.
Images - Are displaying out of focus and seems to be downgraded from a jpeg to a bmp. Uploaded three times the picture files to make sure it was not a problem with the files. These files displayed great in my local box, but somehow displays fuzzy when uploaded to Jgallery folder.
Captions - I will like to include captions instead of filenames under each pictures, is this possible? if so how
Thanks,
JE

OK, I really like the jGallery, but I am having a couple issues.
- In my admin, I can click on "open" on the gallery management system page, but the folders won't open.
- It doesn't show the size of the folders on that page either, and there are pics in each one.
- Because I can't open them, I can't see what pics are in them.
- I REALLY REALLY want to put a description or caption on the pics, but I will soon have WAY too many to do it one at a time. Will it ever be an upgrade?
I really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks...
Anybody around to answer these questions? Is this add-on basically dead?
I can't get this to work either. Also, can't log out without getting error messages. Can't do much of anything except upload images into the admin folder, and delete them.
anyone?

Hi all
Sorry have been out of the loop of late, hard times in getting job, but I now have a suitable and stable job so will get back onto this.
The owner of the gallery system has a new version so I may look to implement this at some point, hopefully it will allow me to address the issues raised.

How do you add text to the gallery page? I want to add a little blurb above the page numbers. I tried adding text to the define_gallery.php page but it doesn't show up on the site...
New Zenner
Hey, first time poster, and a complete newbie, working off 1.3.9g...
.
what worked for me to add a little bit of a blurb to the gallery page was to edit
tpl_page_3_default.php
or whatever page number you are using!
it is found in
/includes/templates/template_default/templates
i copied it over to
**/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates **
to preserve core files...
then inserted more code after the last </div> and before the php code that calls the gallery??
<div> <br/> <p align="center">All Photo's on <https://www.yourdomain.com> are available in high resolution quality prints for purchase. <br/> Please contact <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]<a/> for more details.</p> </div>this worked fine for me anyway hope tis of help to you...
now the reason i logged in!!!
the folders that display in the gallery page...?
Does Anyone know of a way to add a tag/title/name to the folder?
so it displays next to it, under it. where-ever...just want some way of identifying each folder on the page with a month name/date etc....
oh, had a slight issue with install using 1.3.9g
for some reason from the admin panel, the page define thingy wouldn't propagate the php file call? and only displayed the code on the page as opposed to calling the gallery...
so i edited the file above and pasted the php call code into the bottom of tpl_page_3_default.php and this did the trick for me:clap:
