well got seo mod working but same issue, i was able to setup ezpages to internal url of my gallery.html, the gallery shows up, but when I select another page i get the php code
<?php echo curPageURL(); ?>?page=3
and a 404 error
any resolution or help would be appreciated

I fixed this problem and another one that follows it. There is a syntax problem, and I'm not proficient enough in PHP to know exactly why it was doing that, but I did make a workaround.
After that is fixed, it will then improperly modify the page references for the rest of your pictures if there are more than one page of them.
What is happening is when you hit a second page, it's reloading the URL and adding stuff to it, as well as that error above, so I did a two part fix.
in your gallery folder edit the index.php file..
Delete Line 21 - "$current_url = str_replace($pagenumbers, "", curPageURL());"
and put in
$find_stop = strpos(curPageURL(),"?page=");
If ($find_stop === false) {
$current_url = str_replace($pagenumbers, "", curPageURL());
} else {
$current_url = substr(curPageURL(), 0, $find_stop);
}
This will check if it's the first page loaded or if it's a subpage. It will then modify the URL to make sure it's right for further editing down lower in the code.
At around line 340 "$nav_string .= " <a href="<?php echo curPageURL(); ?>"?page=$pnav">$pnav</a> ";"
change to be
$nav_string .= " <a href=\"". $current_url ."?page=$pnav\">$pnav</a> ";
This just changes the syntax from a PHP call or whatever it was, to just be a variable that was created by our code in the beginning.
