Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

Asdesign:

Checked the images, they are where they should so this isn't a path issue.

Go into Zencart admin and under Lightbox check if you have gallery mode enabled. It might be the problem because as far as I can see the lightbox code seems good.

Yup, gallery mode is enabled. It's just so weird!

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

Nothing is weird, we just need to find the culprit! ;)

There's something I need to know. To try and narrow the problem, I need you to tell me if gallery mode works in a simple product page. Do you have a product that has more than one image? We shall then check if the previous/next buttons work. If they do, we can narrow down the problem to the gallery itself.

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

Try replacing your "stylesheet_zen_lightbox.css"

with this file >

http://egoline.co.il/includes/templates/asdesign/css/stylesheet_zen_lightbox.css

save as CSS and upload via FTP. Rename the current file as it might not solve the problem yet, it's just an attempt to fix the problem. I have a zencart site with jgallery combined with lightbox and it works like a charm.

Yes, the Prev/Next buttons work perfectly on products: http://www.paperbliss.ca/test-p-84.html?cPath=15

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

Thanks to all those who have been helping answer questions and stuff concerning this add-on. I have stopped supporting it and will not be doing any further work on it as I am converting all my Zen Cart sites to Ubercart (it does everything Zen Cart does and more and better, ZC is a bit obsolete). Frankly I'm a bit fed up with ZC...

If anybody else wants to maintain this add on and continue development on this that would be great but I will not be spending any more time on it personally.

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

Time to throw my beggar's hat into the ring, I suppose. Could anyone help me with my non-functional gallery? I've read through the thread and tried most of the solutions here but nothing seems to work for me.

I use multiple images on products and the lightbox function including next/back buttons works fine there, but my gallery still keeps giving me a 404. I'm running 1.3.9e and the Premium4b template from https://www.zenflavor.com.

I've tried changing the path in the config.php from /gallery/ to /cart/gallery (actually did that right away, then when it didn't work, tried going back to /gallery/ which also didn't work, so I went back to /cart/gallery/), made sure all the other paths matched.

The path that the gallery inserted into my sidebar upon install is "main_page=define_gallery" and I've even tried entering "main_page=gallery" instead and it still does nothing (just shows a blank page from when I made an EZPage called "gallery" earlier, before even trying to install Lightbox) /gallery.html isnt a valid url either, nor was I able to find any reference to it in the /gallery/index.php file (in line with deggertsen's solution on the first page of the thread).

Any ideas what I've done wrong?

Thanks!

Do you have Ultimate SEO URLs installed already?

Yeah it's definitely a problem with the gallery itself, but I don't know what the issue is. So you have the prev/next buttons working in the gallery on your site?

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

oh, sorry. I should have mentioned that. I don't have Ultimate SEO installed. I had planned to get around that by only using one page of thumbnails and making the first page longer if I end up needing a lot of pics.

Is it really worth installing Ultimate SEO? Does it disrupt anything else? Is it a good mod?
Forgive me, I've just been working on getting this site tweaked into shape for a week and am paranoid about breaking anything at this point.

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

I tried and tried to get it to work without Ultimate SEO URLs and never could, not even with just a single page of thumbnails. As soon as I installed Ultimate SEO URLs, the gallery worked, except for the issue I'm having with the prev/next buttons.

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

I finally just gave up and installed an html lightbox script called Lightbox2. Took a little tweaking, but I was able to lay everything out in Dreamweaver and drop it into an EZ Page. I can't get the prev-next buttons to work, but I'm hoping to find a solution soon.

If that didn't work, I was about to just say 'screw it' and make a custom product entry and stick all my photo gallery images in that instead....almost as good as the zen lightbox mod.

Hi there, I really didn't do anything special. I installed Ultimate SEO URLs and then the gallery and it worked :)

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

Downloaded this addon, i had noticed it was for zen cart 1.3.8
I am running 1.39h

so i updated the zen lightbox files which were outdated with the most recent from the zen lightbox addon. The only issue im seeing currently is when you click a thumbnail it opens the lightbox window, but there is no navigation links even though i have more than 1 image in the folder, i have them enabled in the configuration files as far as i can tell.

I was able to setup 3 galleries following the steps that came with the addon.

as far as the linking to the galleries, i use the ezpages and use the internal link option suggested in the instructions which came with this addon.

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

well i was wrong, i was able to get the thumbnails to work and lightbox to work, admin area uploads work for multiple galleries as well, but my problem is getting multiple pages to work.

i get a url like so

/<?php echo curPageURL(); ?>?page=3

i have a feeling it has to do with using ultimate seo url

I had installed that, but i cant get that mod to work for this script nor many of my pages like:

* Shipping & Returns
* Privacy Notice
* Conditions of Use
* Contact Us
* Site Map
* Gift Certificate FAQ
* Discount Coupons
* Newsletter Unsubscribe

i just get a 403 error, i went into the seo settings and included the pages. I followed their instructions to a T, running zencart 1.39h

Re: Lightbox Gallery (combined jgallery and zenlightbox)

Hi all.
This mod is not bad, but don't work for me.
Uploader and settings in admin are OK.
I use SEO url mod and I don't want to install other SEO mod.
Problem:
The page that contains gallery (main_page=gallery or main_page=define_gallery) do not work properly.
The problem is in gallery/index.php. Gallery page shows only pieces of php code (no thumbnails), because php script stops near $im = $this -> open($file);
I tried to find a solution to repair index.php, but unfortunately failed.
Then I decide to ignore gallery/index.php and include php file indexer.
With few lines of code I realized almost all needed functions.
In tpl_gallery_default.php switch

include "/gallery/index.php";

with

<?php
$imagetypes = array("image/jpeg", "image/gif");

function getImages($dir) {
global $imagetypes;
// array to hold return value
$retval = array();
// add trailing slash if missing
if(substr($dir, -1) != "/") $dir .= "/";
$dir = "PATH_TO_MY_GALLERY";
// full server path to directory
$fulldir = "{$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']}/$dir";
$d = @dir($fulldir) or die("getImages: Failed opening directory $dir for reading");
while(false !== ($entry = $d->read())) {
// skip hidden files
if($entry[0] == ".") continue;
// check for image files
if(in_array(mime_content_type("$fulldir$entry"), $imagetypes)) { $retval[] = array( "file" => "/$dir$entry", "size" => getimagesize("$fulldir$entry") ); } } $d->close(); return $retval; }
?>

<?PHP
// fetch image details
$images = getImages("images");
// display on page
foreach($images as $img) {
echo "<div class=\"photo\">";
echo "<a href=\"{$img['file']}\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img src=\"{$img['file']}\" {$img['size'][3]} alt=\"\"></a><br>\n";
//echo "<a href=\"{$img['file']}\" rel=\"lightbox\">",basename($img['file']),"</a><br>\n";
//echo "({$img['size'][0]} x {$img['size'][1]} pixels)";
echo "</div>\n"; }
?>

If you want you can add pagination.
If you want you can add folder "big" in folder "gallery" and edit link of image to show image with same name in folder "big"
You can set width and height to resize image (thumbnail) and when click on it Lightbox show image in full size.
If you want you can use admin controls for width and height of thumb.
You can adjust divs in css.
Click over image activates Lightbox.

Sorry for my English and I hope that this post will be useful for someone.
