Adding reCAPTCHA to Contact Us Form

Hi All, Can anyone help?
Under my 'contact us' form page, I'm missing the BACK and SEND link, it's not showing an image or writing.

I still can send email from the form by pressing ENTER.

I don't know what went wrong:unsure:

In your /includes/templates/YOUR TEMPLATE FOLDER/templates/tpl_contact_us_default.php

Add this to the page where you would like the buttons (typically add the bottom of the file just above </form> tag.

I've checked tpl_contact_us_default.php, the codes you sent are there.

It's seem I have bigger problem, that in fact those links (submit,send etc) also not showing in other pages:lamo:

Can you see the div's in the page that should hold the buttons. What if you place plain text inside the div, but before the submit button tag? Do you have some sort of conditional tag around it? You may want to check to see if the images exists. Look in /includes/templates/YOUR TEMPLATE FOLDER/buttons/english/button_send.gif

Did that.all images are there.
There's must be some major script that control these links for not showing, but don't know what.

You never mentioned if the tags are showing up in the html source. Are you using Firefox with adblock, and adblock might be hiding the images? I only mention that for the fact that you said the images are missing from several other pages.

The install is the same even if you don't require a login.... If you are using the standard forms in Zencart, then the install should work the same.

hi! i have installed this mod and its working great but i found out that spammers don't just use the contact us page but also tell a friend...

since this mod has no feature to put a recaptcha on tell a friend page and since i found a mod which has that feature i want to uninstall this. How could i do that???

i downloaded contactus_recaptcha_v1.1 not contactus_recaptcha_v1-1 ( i see there are extra files in contactus_recaptcha_v1-1)

Wow this woman... she keeps on using my "tell a friend" to spam many people...she keeps on sending messages... its already 2k+! i took my site offline because of that... :dontgetit

anyone how to uninstall this mod, or could i install the captcha this mod without them conflicting?

That is for 1.3.8, but it also works fine for my 1.3.9d.

However, in my test, the mod does not preserve the message field. It does keep the name and email address when visitors type the captcha wrong and have to start over.

Please think about this: a visitor tried to tell you something. He filled the name, email address, and wrote a long paragraph. Then he tried the reCaptcha, but failed because he recognized the word wrong. Then he got the error alert and had to type everything again! How frustrated?

Can the author(s) or some experts here make the improvement?

Login into admin page. Then use the url:
http://yoursite.com/admin/index.php?remove_captcha=yes

Then remove the file /admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/recaptcha_functions.php. This will prevent the plugin from reinstalling. You will then to remove the code from your templates as well.

is there an add on for recaptcha for the account registration process?

would be good to have both for contact us and account registration :D

I wouldn't mind extending this addon for other pages. Others got input on what pages this should be added to?
