Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Can anyone help me out please?

I installed COWOA some time ago and it works fine. However, lately I discovered a one problem which I believe is because I skipped something when merging files. Maybe someone could point me in which file it could be?

Problem description:

A customer that used COWOA before comes back and this time decides to register. However he can't do it becouse error says that e-mail adress is already into database.

I read in forums that COWOA has this issue worked around with adding something to end of email before storing it in DB. This is why I believe that error is because I skipped something while merging. However I can't find where and what it could be. Please Help! :)

In includes/modules/create_account.php you probably didn't add this little snippet of code

$check_email_query = "select count(*) as total
                            from " . TABLE_CUSTOMERS . "
                            where customers_email_address = '" . zen_db_input($email_address) . "'
                            and COWOA_account != 1";
    $check_email = $db->Execute($check_email_query);

look past lines 120 for the above code.
This presumes that you installed the SQL file as well so that the COWOA field was added to the customers table.

Version 1.9 of Integrated COWOA has been posted. A Major bug for the Order Status has been fixed.

See the install.txt file if you have this version of COWOA installed for upgrade instructions. It will be available here at the Zen Cart file section soon, or you can get it on My Mods Site now.

Congratulations. Best way to learn it is to jump in and try things. Just remember to always backup the original fie that you are working on.

Is the file includes/modules/no_account.php there and is there an includes/modules/pages/no_account folder with files in it?

If you have YOUR_TEMPLATES under modules, it may require that the no_account.php file be there too.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Thanks...

I had includes/modules/MY_TEMPLATE/no_account.php, but I did NOT have includes/modules/no_account.php. I just copied the file from MY_TEMPLATE folder to includes/modules, and it works..

I really appreciate the help

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

They are identified by comments. Search within those files for COWOA. Note: I think the latest update is for 1.3.9C, so you'll need to integrate those changes into 1.3.9e, or wait for an update.

Did this fix your problem? I have the same issue but ONLY when using IE and I am using 1.3.8 I think I am using the 1.3.8 version of this mod too.

I am totally confused over this as I have compared the html source of the page in IE and in Safari and they are both identical apart from the odd whitespace extra lines.

Anyone know what could possibly be causing this to happen ONLY in in IE???

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

OK Really weird now.

I checked and made sure that file is there. Also as a test I created a new user account on my computer and managed to check out fine with IE, a couple of times in fact..

THEN I logged off the computer account and went back to the account I had problems with before and the problem still persists, thinking maybe a caching issue, so then I went back into the new fresh account and back onto the IE and problem back again..

This is a big issue for me as it seems like customers are only going to be able to checkout once!

Its worth mentioning this problem also occurs when clicking continue on the create account page too..

Please can someone advise??

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

I am using 1.3.8 and experience the same problem. The only difference is that my COWOA customers end up with a blank page: index.php?main_page=logoff,

The same happens when a registred customer tries to logout. If I can find a solution I'll have to uninstall COWOA.

im a bit confused about version numbers.

I just installed what I downloaded form the zen cart main page, the file says its 1.3.9d, but now its installed it says i'm using 1.3.9e..??

secondly, im looking in the contributions area at the COWOA and I don't see any reference to which 1.3.9 version the latest downloadable COWOA is for??

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

to add to this, I have also noticed in the database the email format set against customers:

Without Account Customers
TEXT

With Account Customers
HTML

Regardless of the fact HTML is set to default.

Neither arrive in HTML. What can I be checking here?

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

UPDATE

The problem identified as:

This was happening because I was checking out without account which at the monment set TEXT only emails as prefernce,

then I test by creating account with same email and this set to HTML as it should as the default is HTML.

Im guessing that when it checks email preference it finds preference where email = customers email, but with COWOA its finding the without account with text only set first. maybe instead it should check against customer id?

I still have the issue of COWOA customers email preference being set to TEXT only, can anyone advise why this might be?

I have fixed my TEXT only problem with COWOA registrants. the optional choice of hiding the HTML/TEXT only buttons were already made on the version I downloaded, but it would seem when having that option added it does not select the default HTML determined in the admin.

If anyone has the knowlege to implement the hide and to have HTML as default I would be interested to hear it.

Cheers
