COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

TNX for everything but I'm having an issue... no emergency because the store is a few months out due to other priorities.

New Install JT_ZCART_139f

Regardless of template selected, when customer logs in, template changes to GTI_CustomGreen. When customer logs out, template changes back to template selected.

Surely, I've fat-fingered something.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Great mod!

I found 3 issues left in the latest 2.0b:

  1. No matter if you do COWOA or normal order, the link in the email confirmation is title as detailed invoice which is misleading for COWOA customers.

I suggest the following changes in includes/languages/english/YOURTEMPLATE/checkout_process.php to reflect the difference between the detailed invoice for normal customers and the order status check for COWOA customers:
Old:

define('EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL', 'Detailed Invoice:');
define('EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL_CLICK', 'Click here for a Detailed Invoice');

New:

if($_SESSION['COWOA']) $COWOA=TRUE;
if($COWOA)
define('EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL', 'Check order status:');
else
define('EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL', 'Detailed Invoice:');
if($COWOA)
define('EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL_CLICK', 'Click here to check the status of your order');
else
define('EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL_CLICK', 'Click here for a Detailed Invoice');
  1. The Billing/Payment information is filled up with:
Billing/Payment Information
Edit
No_Account
No_Account No_Account
No_Account
No_Account
No_Account, Florida 33333
United States

if you order a free product and Enable E-Mail Only is true.
Would be better to hide the sections Billing/Payment information and Payment method on the order review page in these cases

  1. I suggest to automatically log out the COWOA customer when reaching checkout success page. If not he can get back to home and see the customer greeting.
    Change in includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/templates/tpl_checkout_success_default.php to:
<!--bof logoff-->
<div id="checkoutSuccessLogoff">
<?php
if ($_SESSION['COWOA']) {
  zen_session_destroy();
} else {
  if (isset($_SESSION['customer_guest_id'])) {
    echo TEXT_CHECKOUT_LOGOFF_GUEST;
  } elseif (isset($_SESSION['customer_id'])) {
    echo TEXT_CHECKOUT_LOGOFF_CUSTOMER;
  } ?>
<div class="buttonRow forward"><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_LOGOFF, '', 'SSL'); ?>"><?php echo zen_image_button(BUTTON_IMAGE_LOG_OFF , BUTTON_LOG_OFF_ALT); ?></a></div>
<?php } ?>
</div>
<!--eof logoff-->

Number3 is already in the next update along with the removal of the Welcome E-mail. I'll also add suggestion 1 & 3.
Thanks for the tips/suggestions.

OK, just logged into your site. Started with the Red Template and after signing up, it went to green, which is the Default Color for new users. This is set that way in the install SQL. If you want to change that, the easiest way is to use phpmyadmin and change it in the customers table. It is the last field customers_template under default. If you want everyone to get red, change the default to gti_custom_red.

Also, you did not activate the SideBox that lets a customer choose which template they want. Not sure if that's the way you wanted it or not.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

TNX JT

I didn't realize that feature was by design.

I used your 1.3.9f installer mainly to take advantage of your other customizations but didn't want to give anyone the option to change templates. I just assumed that the template that I installed would the default regardless of customer status.

Forgive my ignorance, but I couldn't find where to change the default template for new customers except to manually make the change after each account is created or to use the template selected in admin regardless of login status. Please don't rewrite code just because of me. I'll keep digging and use this as a learning exercise.

It's work you've done that allows less talented users like me to have a more customized experience. Thank you.

Here is how you can change it to red. In your admin/tools/Install SQL Patches, enter this

ALTER TABLE customers DROP customers_template; [SEND]

next enter this

ALTER TABLE customers ADD customers_template varchar(25) collate latin1_general_ci NOT NULL default 'gti_custom_red'; [SEND]

From then on, each new user will default to the red template.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Hi,

I have a problem with the COWOA mod... When I enter information for billing and try to continue, I always get this error :

Error Our system already has a record of that email address - please try logging in with that email address. If you do not use that address any longer you can correct it in the My Account area.

It happens on the page index.php?main_page=no_account.

Anybody can help me please?

Thanks in advance!

Get Version 2.0b, it fixes that bug and one other. Update instructions are included.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

just checking...

this updated and combined version allows a customer that has checked out via cowa to later come back and create an account to check out.

BUT after they create an account, they cannot go back and checkout via cowa again. correct?

thanks.

That is correct as far as the e-mail address that they used to register an account is concerned. They can us COWOA again if they use a different e-mail address.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

COWOA V2.0c Released.

ADDITION: Added the ability to turn on and off a forced logoff (Kill Session) for COWOA Customers after a sucessful checkout. FORCED LOGOFF will cause customer to wait until they get an order status update e-mail to download a file purchase of any type.

ADDITION: COWOA Customer can look around the store by reconnecting using the Order Status Update Login, but if they try to purchase an item, there session will expire. They should not be able to buy when connecting this way as they have NO Account information stored.

CHANGE: Removed the Welcome E-Mail that COWOA customers were receiving. (modified /includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/no_account.php

CHANGE: If the Cart has a 0 Balance (Free File or whatever is free) the Payment Screen is skipped.

CHANGE: Changed text. Instead of Detailed Invoice, it will say 'Click here to check the Status of your order' for COWOA Customer. (Thanks to webchills)

ADDITIONAL SQL: There is now a 3rd SQL file if you already have COWOA 2.0a or b to update to 2.0c

BUG FIX: Status Updates are now sent without link if Enable Status Emails set to false. (Thanks to philip937)

NOTE: To abide by the OverRide settings, no files should be changed directly in the /includes/modules folder or the template_default/templates folder. All of the files should go into YOUR_TEMPLATE folders under modules and templates.

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

Hi,

I'm trying to add the following bit of code from the customers.php to the orders.php file at around line #699 so that I can see on the order edit page whether an account was created when a customer placed that particular order:

<?php
// COWOA add new frameset here to display account status when looking at a customer detail record
?>
      <tr>
        <td class="formAreaTitle"><?php echo COWOA_SECTION_HEADING; ?></td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td class="formArea"><table border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2">
          <tr>
            <td class="main"><?php if ($cInfo->COWOA_account) echo COWOA_STATUS_TRUE; else echo COWOA_STATUS_FALSE; ?></td>
          </tr>
          </table>
        </td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td><?php echo zen_draw_separator('pixel_trans.gif', '1', '10'); ?></td>
      </tr>
<?php
// END OF COWOA new frameset
?>

As I mentioned above I have added this code to around line #699 of orders.php but for some reason the newly created Account Status box is just showing Account Status Full Account Created ..for ALL orders - even for orders that I know were placed without an account (i.e the customer COWOA).

Any ideas why this isn't working?

Thanks :smile:

The problem is that it doesn't touch that code in orders.php. Here is what you will need to get it to work as you want it to:
<?php // COWOA add new frameset here to display account status when looking at a customer detail record $check_status = $db->Execute("select customers_name, customers_email_address, orders_status, date_purchased, COWOA_order from " . TABLE_ORDERS . " where orders_id = '" . (int)$oID . "'"); ?>
  <tr>
    <td class="formAreaTitle"><?php echo COWOA_SECTION_HEADING; ?></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td class="formArea"><table border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2">
      <tr>
        <td class="main"><?php if ($check_status->fields['COWOA_order'] == 1) echo COWOA_STATUS_TRUE; else echo COWOA_STATUS_FALSE; ?></td>
      </tr>
      </table>
    </td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td><?php echo zen_draw_separator('pixel_trans.gif', '1', '10'); ?></td>
  </tr>
<?php // END OF COWOA new frameset ?>

Re: COWOA Module (my update for ZC v1.3.x)

I'm hoping that I'm just a little fried from migrating one of my websites over to ZC. I installed COWOA 2.0c on a fairly pristine copy of ZC 1.3.9f. Besides the formatting problem on the login page which I have gotten to work the mod is working well. The only problem that I have is the link in the e-mail launches a page with only the header and left nav. All the content and footer is missing.

OK Just putting this to paper helped me to figure it out. The zip file that I downloaded from the add-ons section is missing the file includes/templates/myfolder/templates/tpl_order_status_default.php. I dowloaded the zip file again to verify that the file is really missing and it is. I got a copy of that file and the link now works fine.
