Why is my front page slideshow not working? I just did a new install of zen 1.54 and tableau 1.51 at http://gelcandlecompany.com/demo/
Is there now an activation button? thanks

i posted questions on page 31 of this thread. they are pretty simple questions to answer, i don't think they are that complicated, yet they remain unanswered.

99.9 % of anything i ever asked has been answered by contributing members and staff of zen-cart.
they are template questions, not zen-cart questions.

how can i use and value a product developer that does not answer simple questions?

Interesting... I couldn't find the GITHUB info or links in any of the doccumentation of the several versions of this template I have downloaded...???

Question about installing this template.

It calls for a name change to the 'Your Catalog' file, however in Zen-Cart there isnt a 'Your Catalog' file. So what gets changed if anything??

Isn't the 'Your Catalog' from OS-Cart?

Yes, it should be the root of your Zen Cart Installation

Hello -

The your catalog directory is the same thing as the root install of your zen cart installation. Once you go inside that directory, you should see the files that should be installed. You will need to make sure you update the YOUR_ADMIN directory to reflect your admin directory name.

Sorry that you were not able to receive any help on this as yet. If you are still looking for the answers here they are.

1. This is a new template install. It will not effect your customers database but if you do have any additional modules installed in your previous template, you will have to reinstall them into tableau as that is how Zen Cart works.

2. We do not currently have any type of documentation for the size of the slides. This is mostly dependent on the images that you are wanting to use within the slide show and you can change any styling issues within the CSS.

hi thanks for the great work. i like the design.

i have been using zencart for 4 1/2 years. been pretty used to all the ins and outs. and so far so good. i am wanting to update my existing abbington mega to tableau to be more responsive to the mobile crowd. couple of questions

1. am i going to lose any data (i.e. customer data base) or is this just a template upgrade?
2. where can i find basic questions answered (like slide size in pixels)?

1. Yes you can switch from tableau back to your old template using the template configuration page inside the Zen Cart Admin.

2. As far as the discount codes, they work as the default zen cart settings work. We have not included anything special or out of the box functionality as far as Tableau goes compared to Vanilla ZC.

1. can i switch easily between my existing template and 'tableau' as i am building tableau before it becomes live, so when my existing customers would like to place an order, i can switch it back, get the order completed, then keep working on the new template?

2. discount codes. i am not able to use gift certificates or discount codes in my current template, it's due to the CC processor and programming..which they will not write new code to allow the gift certs and codes to be deducted before the capture of the cc payment amount. processor is NMI. will the tableau template allow gifts certs and discount codes capture before CC processor capture??

if you look at our documentation there is a section for help. If you click on that you are taken to a page about Tableau. From that page you can select report a bug and that will take you to our Github page.

For some reason it looks like there is an inline style being added to your button. This is not happening for us on a vanilla install of Tableau. One thing you might try is editing line 151 of includes/tableau/templates/tpl_product_info_default.php.

That line currently looks like this:

$the_button = '<input type="hidden" name="cart_quantity" value="1" /><span class="btn-add-cart">' . zen_draw_hidden_field('products_id', (int)$_GET['products_id']) . zen_image_submit(BUTTON_IMAGE_IN_CART, BUTTON_IN_CART_ALT) .'</span>';

Try changing that to this:

$the_button = '<input type="hidden" name="cart_quantity" value="1" /><span class="btn-add-cart">' . zen_draw_hidden_field('products_id', (int)$_GET['products_id']) . zen_image_submit(BUTTON_IMAGE_IN_CART, BUTTON_IN_CART_ALT, 'style="width: auto;"') .'</span>';

(Even in the source files I downloaded.)
but tried it in includes/tableau/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php which had that exact line you told me to change.

I haven't actually change anything but the basic config in the template menu... could it be cause it's 1.5.1?

I am having troubles with the template changing my site name. The name of the site which appears on my browser tab changes.In the admin area the Store name is still the same as before. Any ideas? I would share a link, but I am running on a local server :|

Sorry yes that was the right file. A typo on our part. Do you have any extra modules installed at the moment? Is there any way you could contact us through a support ticket. You can get a link to that through our documentation that came with Tableau.

Yes in order to change that you need to edit the language file found at YOUR_CATALOG=>includes=>languages=>english=>tableau=>meta_tags.php
