Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Woodymon:

The readme explains their are new switches in /includes/extradatafiles/yahootreemenu.php which can be set true or false. Did changing any of those help?

Below are the options in 0.9 version.

includes/extra_datafiles/yahootreemenu.php
(defaults follow)...

// Set this option in true if you don't want to show the categories which has no products.
define('YAHOOTREEMENU_SKIP_EMPTY', true);

// Can multiple children (subcategories) be expanded at once?
define('YAHOOTREEMENU_MULTI_EXPAND', true);

// Do you want the categories names has the link?
define('YAHOOTREEMENU_SHOW_CATEGORY_LINK', false);

// Do you want tou use this menu without AJAX.
// This may be useful for the websites with a little number of the categories
define('YAHOOTREEMENU_WITHOUT_AJAX', false);

Thanks Andrew! v.0.9 is working great on Zen Cart 1.36. Looking forward to v.1.0 ;-)

bgroup...

you could try recreating the category, like Tajul suggested.

but also, make sure that you're not mixing products and subcategories in the categories. you can only have one or the other...

its been the answer to a few people's problems, so just wanted to throw it out there...

gl
Some of my categories didn´t expand. I noticed it was when the name of any subcategory contains the symbol & (ej: html code ó for accent). If the xml generated by load_branch.php contains the & symbol when converts category name to html code, then the xml generated fail on parsing.

Just need to find in load_branch.php the code:
echo htmlentities($cat['categories_name']) . $productsCountForTitle ."\n";

and replace with:
echo str_replace('&','&', htmlentities($cat['categories_name'])) . $productsCountForTitle ."\n";

replacing the symbol & with the string "&" makes xml parse it fine and the category three expands

BTW, im spanish and any categories using accents failed (á é í ó ú). If your categories tree doesn´t expand, search for any symbol that htmlentities converts to &anything.

hope that helps and congratulations for that great mod!

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

I have added new style - "folders". You can see it on the demo site http://zen-cart.org.ua.

This style will be included in the next version of the menu.

Also you can get this style on the Yahoo! website.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

I love the new menu I got with this module.

Does anyone know what is causing this error that displays above it:

Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of runtime function name. If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in store\includes\templates\custom_template\sideboxes\tpl_yahootreemenu.php on line 249

and line 299

I am using zc 1.3.7 and mod v.0.9

Thanks.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Thank you for noticing!

This is a little erasure.

Please, in the tpl_yahootreemenu.php file change:

  • line 249
    from
loadBranch($categories[$cat]['categories_id'], 1, &$ret);

to

loadBranch($categories[$cat]['categories_id'], 1);

line 258
from

function loadBranch($parent_id, $depth = 0, &$str) {

to

function loadBranch($parent_id, $depth = 0) {

line 299
from

loadBranch($categories[$cat]['categories_id'], $depth + 1, &$str);

to

loadBranch($categories[$cat]['categories_id'], $depth + 1);

Andrew_Yer:

What version of your IE?

I'm using IE7 (Dutch), and I got a few images to show up by renaming tree.css to stylesheet.css in my lavender_template CSS directory.
It puzzles me why I don't see all the images, like dash.gif and so....

In stead of doing that cut and paste what's on your tree.css file to the styleesheet of the template you are using.
