Yahootreemenu with ajax.

hernando:

it doesn't show plus and minus images.
The Folders style (with plus and minus images) isn't included in the current version. So, only the triangles must been shown, not plus, minus or folders images.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

To fix the arrows and images not showing in IE, change the style sheet name from "tree.css" to "stylesheet_tree.css".

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Great mod! I implemented the yahoo folders version my self, that wasn't too bad. Now I need to mess with the font sizes. I need main categories to be size 12px or so and sub cats to be about 9px. To see what I mean, look at my current menu on https://www.pezcollectors.com . To see where I am so far on the new version see dev.pezcollectors.com. So does anyone have a clue how to do this? Thanks!

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Great Mod. I've gone and taken all the +, - and folder images form Andrews demo site as well as the stylesheet and it looks great. Andrew, when will you post the new version with everything in it? Also, one little thing i discovered is that the expanded folder does not have a transparent background and as a result if your box background is anything other than white it looks not as good. You might want to fix this before you post up the latest version.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Hi, I've got an issue with the yahoomenu. For some reason i get the following error printed out at the top of my menu:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\MONTEZ\WEBSITES\ZenCart\includes\templates\CUSTOM_TEMPLATE\sideboxes\tpl_yahootreemenu.php on line 216

Does anyone have any idea why i'm getting this. This seems to come up only when i click an item in the third level of navigation.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

My site is https://www.vapenow.com.

I have the tree menu up and working, and I've applied some style changes, but I would like to have the "New Products" and "All Products" links also show up as bold.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks so much for any help!:wink2:

Try restarting your browser, clearing your cache, or just waiting a few minutes. In that order.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Hi. I am having real problems with the menu, so i removed it. My tech guys said that it was causing my website problems.

My website was fine for a few weeks, but now it is timing out again, and he says their is still remainder of it and a bunch of cache left over which is causing my website to slow down.

How do I fix this?

Thanks. I'm actually using bettercategories now, which I am satisfied with for the time being. Is there any way to just completely remove it at this point?

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

P.S. I went through and removed all the files that I could find to be associate with "yahoo", all the Jscript files, etc.

I also tried your method to fix it and it seems to not have worked (although I am not doubting you, of course)

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

I had the issue with the images not showing up in IE.

The recommended fixes of

  1. Add tree.css to my templates stylesheet.css
    or
  2. move tree.css to my templates css folder and rename to stylesheet_tree.css

did not work.

What did work was to drop the YTM folder structure for template_default into my templates folder.

I now have the js files in both places. Will this be a problem?

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

magicpants:

Hey Reesy, maybe I'm confused by your question -- but my store is not in the root and the yahootreemenu works great for me. Maybe you're referring to a post by Andrew that says categories.php needs to be in the root. That's because that file in the contrib was just floating outside of the folder structure and confused some of us where to put it. Anyway, he means to place it in the root of your shop, whereever that might be.

By the way, I just compared the standard categories sidebox to the yahootreemenu -- I went from 1100 database queries on a random page with the standard cat sidebox to 85 with andrew's contrib! Wow!

Hi

Hope u can help me!!

I am using ZC for my website but having problems with shipping:

I want to enable one city (Leicester, UK NOT THE WHOLE OF UK), to have free shipping. i.e. when a someone asks for a shipping estimate/orders from Leicester,Leicestershire,UK, free shipping should be available with the other oprions for shipping ideally not showing.

Whole order if based in Leicester, should have free shipping option

I would be grateful if you could advise how i can do this.
Many thanks
Rakesh

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Great MOD!!!
I noticed that other sites using this script show the menu inside their matching sidebox templates. I've been through all the forum posts and went all through my code and can't figure out how that is done. There's nothing in the readme about it. Am I missing something?
Here is what my site looks like: http://www.1stclassreplicas.com

As you can see, the menu is by itself as opposed to the other sideboxes from my site template. I modified the css file to give it a little more appeal, but would really like to have it inside a matching sidebox.

Do I have to create a sidebox template from my existing template somehow?
Sorry if I sound like a total ZenCart noob, but I am!:P
Any help is very appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Hello,

I'm facing a strange phenomenon : on my home page no problem, but as soon as I go to a sub category my Yahho tree menu shows two series of subcategories...

If you want to see what I mean, just go to http://www.piccolo-pizza.com

If someone has an idea...

Thanks

regards

Hubert
