Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Does this mod work under Safari Mac OS 10.3.9?

When I try it, I just get the spinning cogs and no drop down.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

hi Chadder !
Exactly you have found the problem

works without WWW, does NOT work with WWW in url. ????same as the problem i discussed in my post #172 of this thread but in the opposite way.
Just make a rule in your .htaccess to redirect your traffic to the url without www and upload it in your root (ask your host for it...).
This is good also for google indexing.
It's never a good idea having two sites of the same page with different page ranking because you will have to share it between them....

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Hum I didn'get any reply to my question but perhaps I was not enough precise.

I'm running YTM on 1.3.7.

On the home page (https://www.piccolo-pizza.com) there's no problem, the YTM works great, but now go to the top menu and ask for Pizza->Classics.

And there you'll see twice the pizza menu in YTM.

Does someone has an idea ?

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Hi everyone,

I've search around in internet for this kind of menu and finally got this YahooTreeMenu as what I wanted.

Now just 1 more step to get my thing done. I need some help from you all professional out there

My problem is:
How can I limit the subcategories?

I saw many websites can do this with similar menu. e.g.:
http://www.ireplicastore.com

How can I modify the script so it will become something like that?

Regards,

Ziv Kong

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Hi! I have been working on a webshop based on Zencart. I added an ajax menu to make the site faster, but there seems to be a bug. There is an error when clicking the products. Maybe some of you have experience from this kind of bug ?

You can see the site HERE

Best Regards
Handyman

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

Hi handymanswee, your problem is because of your sitename. you have defined it as http://opisales.se, so when you connect to http://www.opisales.se ytm does not work fine. search for an old post I sent for a trick to solve it.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

I've tried installing this mod and it works fine apart from one thing. The header text is not showing up. No files have been modded as far as I believe. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Matt

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

yellow1912:

Bug: this mod does not play along with Fualbox or lightbox.

Using this mod with either one of the above mods cause "Operation Aborted" error in IE (5,6,7)

Link:

Can you explain more? What that means? I use Lightbox but i did not see that trouble.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

There is a bug in IE which means that strange things happen when a page uses certain javascript statements in inline <script> tags in the body of the page.

Yahootreemenu uses these statements and as such strange things are liable to happen. This isn't a bug in Yahootreemenu or Lightbox, it is a weird IE quirk which can manifest itself when both are used together. However, the issue, if you want to call it that, can only be resolved in Yahootreemenu. Basically you need to wait for the dom to load before calling tree init. That should solve any weirdness.

Re: Yahootreemenu with ajax.

@kimsonvu <- by the way in includes/templates/classic/css/stylesheet_lightbox.css try changing the z-index of the lightbox to 10000, to stop the lightbox from hiding under the menu.
