Profit Markup/Margin Calculator

jford:

don't worry--it was installed on a test site and there was another mod installed on it so i am redoeing everything right now to see if that was why i lost the admin screen

I think when you replced the files, there must have been some code from the other mod which required the file, since it did not get the code from it. The admin went blank.

Re: Profit Markup/Margin Calculator

Someone requested a function to be able to enter the Markup for all the products in one command.

NOw, did you mean the applying the markup at cost or the products price. SInce if its cost, then you would have to manually enter costs for each product, whereby giving you the change to enter the markup for them as well.

But if you need to enter markup at products price, then i think it can be done

Put back your original currencies file, in which you made the latest changes.

Re: Profit Markup/Margin Calculator

ok, i have uploaded the standard version odf currencies.php, along with your new functions_prices.php , and the error returns, but my admin product view figures return to be correct....

so i ask again... why is the figure multiplying my tax rate by ten, and then altering the price i see in admin, and not in client side???

attach the following files and I'll edit them myself

admin\includes\modules\category_product_listing.php
admin\includes\modules\copy_to_confirm.php
admin\includes\modules\prod_cat_header_code.php
admin\includes\modules\update_product.php

admin\includes\modules\product\collect_info.php
admin\includes\modules\product\preview_info.php

By the way, which version of Zencart are you using?

But if you need to enter markup at products price, then i think it can be done

When I get a data file from a vendor, it has the cost (my cost) of each procuct. Normally, I add a column with a formula to increase every cost by a percentage to create the price, then I upload via Easy Populate. That is always a hassle. If I only had to upload the file, then apply the markup one time to create the proper price (for the customer) globally, that would be super fantastic. That is what I meant. Also, (as per the pm) have one more field so we could optionally add a handling fee (also once, and also globally) that would be added to the "price" AFTER markup.

replace your function_prices.php in admin/includes/functions/

with this file

Function_Prices.zip

Do use the Comparison Software

Re: Profit Markup/Margin Calculator

Hi

can Easy Populate upload the cost??

if not can we think of useing the price that Easy Populate uses as the cost for this mod as that would cut out at lot of time.

simon

why not just add a field for the Products Cost in easy populate. This way it would be much easier.

That is what my suggestion was all about.

And Yes, EP will upload the cost if you use that as v_products_price
