Re: Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

Should I jump in now before they start charging?

Is there a monthly fee as well?

Re: Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

Ok I set up an account with paypal for the new paypal 2.0
it is so new they don't know how to instal it with zencart. They don't even know its official name yet.
But the bottom line is it is an integrated credit card checkout system for Zencart and it is only $20 per month, 2.9% per and 0.30 cents per

Now here is the problem. The payment system which is based on the verisign payflo pro system does not have any modules created yet. I would think it would be paypals programmers who would be responsible for creating them, but who really knows. If I was paypal, I would create them to increase sales.

Does anyone here have the module? Anyone else set up with paypal 2.0

My service is live, but I cant integrate to zencart with out the module

Re: Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

there is a payflow modual in the achieved downloads

please let us know if it works.

BTW they still have been unable to even set my account up to go active . they have a whole team of people working on it now . just ridiculous.

I'm getting so sick of cutting and pasting all these addresses for shipping . i think i'm just going to forget this and try QBI.

Re: Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

I installed payflowpro-1,2f which seemed to be the latest version
http://www.zen-cart.com/archived_contributions/payment/payflowpro-1.2f.zip

It installed ok. The module shows up in payment modules and it has all the correct boxes for user name, password and partner id.
I tried to use it in test mode and live mode and neither worked. It looks as if the module is not accepting the credit card numbers as valid. Even the test card number that it is supposed to work with does not work. So I guess the module either needs to be updated or it needs to be completely rewritten.

You mean other than the module the webhost has to install something. What do they install?

OK so the payflow module does not work.
Paypal refuses to provide tech support for zencart

Its up to you super programmers to make it happen.

people here don't really like paypal so i don't think the chances are real good on this : (

may have have to wait for the zen cart v1.5 Series - Checkout Rewrite.

Personally i don't care who i use. I just want a solution that doesn't require me to cut and paste every single address line over to a shipping program. Some days this alone takes me an hour.

I'm going to try QBI but i have to learn how to use quickbooks first.

Re: Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

Check it out, I was about to just set up credit card capture to at least be able to key the numbers manually and I realized my credit cards were not turned on.
Ok so shoot me.
Problem not solved yet though
Now there is an error in /includes/modules/payment/bin/pfpro: Permission denied

The check out gets passed the part it was failing at before and then gives and error called "result code 126"

Are we getting closer? whats the deal with pfpro file

Re: Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

This time I did a search for the error code
Error code 126 was an execute permisions error code. I changed the permisions to 777 on both the files in includes/modules/payment/bin/pfpro and the errror code went away.

now there is this error code:
valueA:
valueB:
RetVal: 7

0 => RESULT=7
&PNREF=EQEP0BAF0F42
&RESPMSG=Field format error: 10542-This transaction cannot be processed. Please enter a valid email address.

I went into the module and could not find any place for my email. I used my own email when I was testing the cart.

So I now need to know where the program is attempting to capture an email address from.

Re: Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

Are you talking about the Payflow Pro? Did you pay the $250 setup price and $60 a month? As seen here:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_payflow-gateway-pricing-outside

Ouch.

I don't believe a payflow mod exists so at the point, you may be forced to create a help wanted post in the commercial help section. I can recommend someone to you if you like.

A mod was just released last week that pulls all of the information from zencart and inputs it on usps.com, all with a click of the button.

man this works extremely well and took all of 2 minutes to install !!!

On a side note i will prolly earn an extra flight a year with my airline miles now that I'm using a credit card to pay for shipping rather than taken out of my paypal account.
