Test Drive Free Templates

Perhaps this one can be answered by Clyde Jones.

In the Rustic Template, trying to use the HTML to write the Define Pages Editor, the HTMLarea only comes up as Plain Text.

Is there a file that needs to be reloaded?

thanks

The rustic template doesn't touch any of the admin files.

So I'd have to say the problem has to do with HTMLarea

I know there have bee reported problems with HTMLarea.

You might want to do a forum search for HTMLarea and see what others are saying.

I do no that HTMLarea will not be used in ZC 2.0

Re: Test Drive Free Templates

... or when you're looking at a particular template (except those that come with Zen Cart by default) you can click on the "download this template" link that appears in the template switcher sidebox.

Re: Test Drive Free Templates

Hi,
Thanks for the link. I tried downloading comstock & it is not really like the demo photo. Any ideas on what might have gone wrong? I added all the files into the correct locations

Re: Test Drive Free Templates

OK, I realized I forgot to reset the layout boxes - so that works now but why is the middle section so wide? And, why doesn't it start below the two lines (red & black)?

This is a support thread for the template demo system. Please don't clutter it up with the questions about the individual templates - most have their own support threads for questions such as this.

Seems to be a broken link on the homepage. The question symbol links to faq.php, rather than faq.html.Good Spot. Thanks. Not sure why I made that a link at all. But since it is, it has to work. Fixed.

Re: Test Drive Free Templates

I suspect that you may be looking at the screenshots. If so, just refresh your page and you'll find a shiny new download link for each template :smartalec:

If you're in the demo system looking at the templates in action, then there's a download link underneath the template switcher for all but the Classic template (which comes bundled with Zen Cart anyway).

Re: Test Drive Free Templates

Since I'm in the code anyway, I've also set the lightbox next and prev buttons to always be on as I know some people hadn't realised that you could scroll through all the large images without needing to close the lightbox down each time.

Re: Test Drive Free Templates

Does anyone know of a template that has both a dropdown menu (for contact us, shopping cart, ez pages, ect) and a flyout menu for the catagories? That would be great!

I could have my links to the newsletter and articles below the header in the dropdown, and the calender of services, and contact us ect

Got any ideas?

Submit template to
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=40While true that submission to this forum's downloads area is the only route by which to get templates onto the (sorry, site offline) site, the templates mentioned by VJef would never be accepted there as they impose limitations that are in clear breach of both the spirit and letter of the GPL license.

So as I understood it is impossible add free template to (sorry, site offline), isn't it? :(
