Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

novastar:

Absolutely, I think it's the longest named mod in the add-on section. The link is below.

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=994

aha, never even noticed this one or really understand what it is supposed to do.

Have you tried comparing its files with those of the lightbox to see if you can merge them together.

You should note that the plugin is listed for ZC 1.3.7 and hasn't been updated since 2008. I would proceed with caution :)

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Well I had the attribute mod installed before I installed lightbox, and it works fine. Lightbox was extra easy to install and it works good too, I just want to know how to get them to work together.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

I uploaded the files to install lightbox as directed. Then, when I went to phpMyAdmin to run the install.sql, I got an error message that it couldn't find the table configuration_group. I tried renaming to zen_configuration_group, as that is how it showed in the database, but that did not work.
I ran the script from the Zen Cart admin and somehow I have 7 Zen Lightbox options to choose from if I go to the Configuration menu in the Admin.
The main problem is my home page for my store is now gone. Completely gone.
I uninstalled the Lightbox files and folders and of course, my page is still gone.
I have no idea what I've done or how to fix it.
The URL is https://www.orchidfreak.com/store. I am using Zen Cart version 1.3.9h and lightbox version 1.6.
Can anyone help me please?
Just shy of panicking here.........

@tsheridan

do you still have index.php in the root of /store?
did you happen to make any backups before starting the installation?

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Yes, index.php is still in the root. I had a backup and completely reloaded the entire store directory.....no luck.
What about the install script that I ran through the admin? Could that be messing me up somehow?

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Yes, I can get to the admin area, and yes I ran the uninstall script which removed all the occurrences of Zen Lightbox in the configuration menu, however I still have no store home page.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

No, I didn't back it up separately, but it still seems to be there, if I log in to the myPHPAdmin.

I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Unfortunately, I deleted all the files & folders for the lightbox via FTP, as opposed to running the uninstall script, because I didn't even realize it was there, so I don't know if that messed anything up, however the home page was gone, after uploading the folders via FTP, prior to running the install script.

Initially I tried to install via the myPHPAdmin, however I got that error message, so then ran the script through the Admin directly in Zen Cart.

Does this maybe provide any more info about what happened, so that someone might be able to tell me how to fix it?

you did right removing via ftp...when uninstalling the script only takes out the coding you still manually need to remove files.

have you tested with the default template to see if store reappears?

if it does then compare folders and see what was taken from the templates folder that is in the default template folder.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Hi,

Hope someone can help me. Using Zen cart 1.3.9h, Zen Lightbox 1.6.2. I followed the instructions to the letter, first installed upgrade sql (upgraded from 1.5), then deleted files individually from back end, re-uploaded the new files, however when I try to view my product pics (https://www.shadow.craftwiseonline.co.uk), instead of opening the pictures with Lightbox, it opens the picture in a blank screen. I then tried the uninstall sql and again install sql, checked site in IE, Chrome and Firefox, same problem in all. I have been through a large part of this thread but could not see anything that could help.

In Admin Zen Light Box has been set to True, can you possibly help to fix this please?

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Here's what I would try next:

Completely uninstall ZLB

- run the uninstall script

  • delete all the ZLB files
  • manually check your db for any instances of ZLB and remove them if found
  • Remove or replace any old Flash by-pass code from your template files, if applicable

Then, do a new fresh install of ZLB 1.6.2

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

I must be missing something here. I'm on Step 5 of the install - upload the file and it's giving me a "table does not exist" error.

I look at the file, and sure enough - there is no code to create the table (configuration_group and configuration) that it's trying to insert into.

Did someone fudge something up with the latest upload? I have a clean install of ZC1.3.9h.

Thanks I have it working. Why does the database prefix needed to be added to the file? Why is it not standard if that's the way that ZenCart is installed?

For anyone wondering:

DarkAngel:

there are 4 places to change---see in red

INSERT INTO zen_configuration_group VALUES (NULL, 'Zen Lightbox', 'Configure Zen Lightbox settings', '0', '1');
UPDATE zen_configuration_group SET sort_order = LAST_INSERT_ID() WHERE configuration_group_id = LAST_INSERT_ID();

SELECT @cgi := configuration_group_id FROM zen_configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_title = 'Zen Lightbox';

INSERT INTO zen_configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function) VALUES

For anyone wondering:

Fantastico installations seem to add this prefix, but that is not the standard with installation files download from this website.

from the dist-configure.php file:

define('DB_PREFIX', ''); // prefix for database table names -- preferred to be left empty
