Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Hi there, I just installed Zen Lightbox in one of my customer sites then I got this...

When you click on the main or additional images, youll see the larger image at the botton of the site, cropped.

I reuploaded all the files many times.

Any ideas?
Tested on Firefox 7, IE 8.
Zen Cart 1.39h
Add-ons installed relative to images:
Image Handler 3
Additional Images Hover 1.0

My guess would be the references to 3 versions of jQuery:
1.6 (commented out)
1.5.2
and 1.4.4 (that zlb uses)

The commented one were from an unsucessfull test installation of colorbox module, already uninstalled.
The 1.5.2 version is from Additional Images Rollover module.
The 1.4.4 is from Zen lightbox.

Actually I deleted the 1.5.2 file for testing purpose and the problem is still there.

the color box mod---did it install a .js file? If so have you tried removing it too.

I have these:
jscript/jquery-1.4.4.min.js -- LB
jscript/jscript_easySlider.js -- Easy Slider
jscript/jscript_imagehover.js -- IH3
jscript/jscript_jquery.js -- IH3

jscript/jscript_mootools-1.3.js -- this one I think was from a previous version of LB that did not get removed but it seems to place nice and not give trouble.

Yes, I did it.
I installed another lightbox version that uses mootools library, then the zen lightbox is working fine but now I had to close the image twice, Its obvious that one screen is from simple lightbox and the other is from zen lightbox. Looks like zen lightbox was having troubles finding slimbox libraries. I manage the code to open just one screen, I know this is kind of lazy patching(not solving the problem actually, just hiding it) but I am on a hurry with this page. Maybe on next store I try to fing a better solution.

another idea...try uninstalling the second one for a bit.

when you installed LB and IH3....which one did you install first?

I think it is the additional_images.php found in includes/modules/your-templates folder

upload it to replace the one you have up there -- use the one from the LB zip and NOT the one from IH3

They work together but sometimes this file needs to be uploaded again.

remember use the one from LB

Using ZC 1.3.8a and just installed (updated) Zen Lightbox to version 1.5 Upgrade did not resolve my issue:

I updated lightbox after noticing the popup images were not displaying on Firefox or Chrome (Mac). All works fine on Safari. And the lightbox effect itself works fine otherwise (overlay and resizing, etc.) There is simply NO IMAGE loading -- just a blank white box.

I do not know when this issue started; only noticed it today after upgrading my Stock by Attributes mod -- so I do not know whether there is a conflict there somehow.

when you upgraded did you uninstall the files and sql so you could install the new version?

was the issue present before you upgraded the other mod

I would also upgrade to store 1.3.9h--more secure from hackers that caused many stores to be suspended by the hosting provider due to scams and hacking.

mow that said, I just went there with my old macintosh still using an extremely old browser---Firefox and the images loaded, but then on my newer pc with updated Firefox I get no image.

wondering if you have considered using 1.6.2+ of LB instead too since it did away with the mootools.js

I would try upgrading both store and lightbox and remember to uninstall all files/sql to the lightbox before uploading the new files.

Make sure you read the read-me to ensure you get everything done before upgrading.

it should but your best bet is to upgrade your stores software before you HAVE to due to hacker and being suspended from your host...I have had to fix stores becasue of this problem and trust me tis harder to do so later than to upgrade now.

Thanks, DarkAngel. I totally agree but am in the middle of adding holiday items with client so was hoping to fix the LB problem (that I didn't realize existed). I guess I'll pull an all-nighter and just go for it.

take your time and read the read me thoroughly about 1.3.9h...total new animal there so all files are basically rewritten for security.

with holidays and all I can see why you are pressed but better to take time now than to yank hair out later...lol

Yes, it works fine. I've tested it in 1.38, 1.39h, and 1.50 RC2.

To clarify this for those new to ZLB:

It is not entirely true that this mod "works fine" with 1.50 RC2. Although the mod will function...the user will be unable to access the configuration settings in the admin until the mod is updated (as is true for all mods that have admin accessible settings).

If a user is upgrading to ZC 1.50 and already has the current version of ZLB installed, then their previous settings will be carried over during the upgrade...so they are less likely to notice until such a time as they wish to change the settings and find them gone.

But those doing a new install of ZLB in ZC 1.50 (or an upgrade of a lower version of ZLB in ZC 1.50) will not be able to access and configure the mod to their liking. New or upgrading users will be forced to use ZLB with it's default configuration settings until this mod is updated for use with 1.50

Although the mod will function appropriately in ZC 1.50, in my mind, the level of functionality the user is left with is not the same as "works fine", because users will be unable access configuration settings through the admin.

Until this mod has been updated to work with 1.50, the following settings will be inaccessible for customization through the admin:

The reason this information is important is because some of the most common or popular customizations folks make to this mod are done so through these settings. Knowing the mod's limitations with 1.50 in advance can save folks a lot of time and trouble.

Important Note: The mod author is working on updating ZLB to include all of the fixes mentioned in this thread over the last several months. His update will work perfectly for ZC 139h.

Hopefully, he will also make a separate version that is updated to accommodate ZC 1.50 (as mods updated for ZC 1.50 won't have backward compatibility for ZC 139h and lower)

You are also using Image Handler. Did you install Image Handler after you installed Zen Lightbox? They share a common file. You need to make sure the common file you're using is the Zen Lightbox version of the file.

Detailed instructions about this can be found in the Image Handler 3 Readme on the Misc tab.

I have had them both for quite a while, and they were both working fine. This is something that just happened recently. I haven't done any upgrades on anything in a while.

removed my post cause I just tried it in Firefox on my very old mac and it works there.

what browser are you using.

you could try reuploading all the files to your server---except the shared one with IH3

and finding out which version of Lightbox you have would be great too...do you still have the zip you installed it from?

been playing and found that you can access the admin using this

though you will have to find the correct gID=
