Display price with VAT/TAX and Ex VAT/TAX

The bug reported by @Locix has been fixed; users selecting Display Prices with Tax = Ex/inc no longer have to delete the template file ./includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_modules_order_totals.php. The new version is available in the plugins area now.

I have installed the mod updated by Mr swguy, all works great etc, however I have a minor problem.

I have edited the /includes/modules/CUSTOM/product_listing.php file to show my LOWEST quantity discount for products on the products listing page with the following found in a posts by Ajeh

So when I have this modification applied, I no longer get the 'ex VAT' appended to prices on listing pages.

My question is simply; how can get both to work? As I do not know how :blush:

hmmm.. it also does not show on the product pages where qty discounts are used when adding the following to /includes/templates/CUSTOM/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

Looking at your first question, you'll have to change

 $lc_price = $currencies->display_price($lowest_price, zen_get_tax_rate($lowest_price_tax_class)); 

to something like

$tax_rate = zen_get_tax_rate($lowest_price_tax_class);
$lc_price = display_price_inc_ex_tax($lowest_price,$tax_rate); 

hi, sadly does not work. I have played a little with the code but nothing I write seems to work. :(

This is odd............. When I add your snippet its does not show the lowest qty discount, but returns a totally different price. For example.

I have product discounts of
£2.95
£2.70
£2.40
£2.10

With Ajeh's code £2.10 is returned in the listing page.

With your code £2.52 is returned on the listing page, which is not part of the qty discount offering; LOL and Ex Vat is not appended to the price

I installed this module earlier today and have noticed that on 'Checkout' Page I'm having a few display issues re Tax. See Screenshot Below

The £8.90 is the shipping cost is displaying under the Inc / Ex Vat Pricing. Can anyone advise where/what I need to change to get the shipping costs to display next to the shipping option description on this page?

I upgrade my clients website to zen cart 1.5.1 This bug still exits. I'm still getting odd rounding happening with the cart totals. I delete the /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_modules_order_totals.php. and the problem went away.

First let me see: what a great module! It should be incorporated in the standard zc source!

There is indeed an error in includes/templates/your_template/templates/tpl_modules_order_totals.php
For some reason the Excl and Incl price for an item are off. I guess it has to do with rounding, particular the zen_round() function on line 25 and 26. Also there is a problem that the shipping rate isn't shown including the taxes, but is always displayed excluding tax. For customers that's really a bummer since they can't see the real shipping costs.

I tried to solve it myself, but couldn't find (unfortunately) a solution. I hope someone will!

Guys, I just uninstalled everything and don't have any time left right now, but I thought of something!

in the admin --> configuration--> my store-->tax decimal places

I think my value was at 0 when playing with the module, could you try to put it at 2? maybe that's the solution, since i'm sure it has to do with rounding!

Any idea of how we can display the with VAT price in the meta title when the with and without prices are enabled. This may help us solve the Google Feed at the same time.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Let me ask this question, if the setting of include tax with price is set to 1 instead of 2 or 3 (to show incl/exc or exc/incl respectively) does everything work correctly? This would be a setting that under the recent version of this program doesn't display the two prices together, but does consider the price to include the tax.

Based on that, two things: there is a mod to ZC core files related to DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX. (I think is the constant) that must be changed from == true to !=false and at least one change of != true to == false.
Or could change the functions/extra_functions file and change some SQL to have two switches instead of the one to control display of the VAT inc/ex prices.

I have a problem and I think I am reading over the answer. Please tell me what to do.

I have installed the mod but in step 2 of 3 the price of the sub total is always .00 at the end.
So when an item is 1.10 it displays 1.00, or when an item is 3.95 it displays 3.00 and will calculat the VAT according the sub total what is wrong.

What am i doing wrong or how can I fix this.
Any help is welcome.

delete the offending file and revert back to the stock file. This mod has a major flaw with rounding. It's only worth using the display ex & inc vat aspect on the products page and listing page...... when it comes to the checkout aspect of the system, it's fcuked.

I delete the /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_modules_order_totals.php. and the problem went away.

Try using this tpl_modules_order_totals.php here. I modified the code a little. Now it should work correctly.
